Adhere to lockout and tag procedures, prioritizing safety at all times Perform machinery repairs using a variety of tools Clean and lubricate machinery parts as needed Perform adjustments, tightening, and repairs during production breaks and work stoppages whenever possible Proactively monitor your area for issues and take initiative in preparing for and executing repairs problems Provide improvement suggestions to the area supervisor and shift engineers Rebuild parts and pre-stage repetitive usage items in the maintenance area Maintain small repetitive usage tools and rigging equipment in the maintenance area Proactively address pneumatic, hydraulic leaks and safety-related issues Communicate emergency and planned work order data promptly to maintenance supervisor or shift lead technician Conduct informal shift changeovers and provide relief on machines as needed Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) exercises, closely collaborating and supporting production operations Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems Install, assemble, and test machinery and equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and servicing on all equipment to ensure safe operations and to identify potential malfunctions in machines Perform repairs, replacements, and various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding tasks associated with various maintenance tasks Conduct electrical troubleshooting, machine rebuilds, and component overhauls, including dismantling, inspection, repair, or replacement of parts Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment Utilize forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts as required Possess proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment throughout the manufacturing process Preform all additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or other member of management Preferred Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic schematics, and ladder diagrams Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical and motor controls circuits Knowledge of electrical machinery control, including the ability to interpret logic and program programmable controllers Maintenance experience ranging from two to five years Experience in both power distribution and hard-wire control techniques Requirements/Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience and/or a two year technical degree/certification required Allen-Bradley PLC programming certification preferred Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred Advanced mechanical knowledge of conveyors, rollers, fabrication and welding Advance knowledge and proven experience in PLC programing and troubleshooting Proficient in programming using ladder logic and HMI interfaces Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred Successful completion of appropriate skills test, which determines the maintenance technician level Availability for short-notice overtime, including weekends Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.63 - $42.76 per hour

Major Duties/Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Task Leading: * Develop written directions to perform and document repetitive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and modification activities on nuclear safety related and non-nuclear equipment in an operating reactor facility. * Determine the required specifications for materials, and request/coordinate the procurement of required material. * Provide technical direction during field work to craft workers and supervisors. * Coordinate with equipment owners and facility management to accomplish work safely and with efficient use of resources. * Identify risks to personnel or plant and work with RRD/NSD/NTD and other personnel to plan appropriate risk mitigation, including those concerning health physics, industrial hygiene, and safety. * Understand and implement human performance principles in the planning of maintenance work packages. * Ensure that UT-Battelle policies concerning environmental protection, safety, ALARA, and quality assurance are considered and complied with. Maintenance Coordination and Scheduling: * Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for a given area (e.g., mechanical, electrical, facilities), including the processing and initial task assignment or the administration of individual work activities. * Responsible for analyzing maintenance practices and procedures, equipment failures, identifying equipment operating, and reporting results as assigned. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following. * Implement the facility's preventative maintenance program. * Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, quench oils, filters, washer soap, and similar items; notify supervisor of issues as needed. * Maintain a clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area; promptly clean up after maintenance and repair work is completed within the facility. * Assist in equipment performance testing per companywide and manufacturer's guidelines. * Perform corrective actions required for out-of-specification conditions as directed by the supervisor. * Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles. * Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs. * Maintain shop copies of manuals and blueprints in a neat and organized manner; provide others with updated information as required. * Run company errands and pick up equipment, materials, and supplies as required. * Operate company vehicles safely and courteously. * Promptly report observed equipment, facility, and vehicle repair or maintenance needs to the supervisor. * Make suggestions for changes that would help the facility achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety. * Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts. * This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage. * Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism. Signs off as legally appropriate as a repairman under certification of FAR 65.103. ADDITIONAL GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: Selects appropriate subassembly parts according to specifications and measures with micrometers, vernier calipers, etc. to verify specified tolerance. Hones and buffs parts to fit. Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spotfaces bolt holes in parts, using drill press or portable drill. Positions and aligns parts, using jigs, fixtures, and templates as appropriate. Assembles parts with appropriate hardware, using lockwire where required. Assembles main rotor spindles, hubs, and swashplate assemblies. Assembles and tests dampers, doing hydraulic test PSIG, flow rate, etc., and records results. Assembles correlator. Assembles main rotor shaft and transmission. Assembles drive belt pulley and installs bearing and sleeve. Assembles tail rotor gearbox including shaft, gears, housing, and oil cup fillers. Installs swashplate on main rotor gearbox. Installs control rods in transmission assembly. Inspects and tests work as appropriate to assure conformance to specifications. Adjusts, and repairs used precision assemblies and subassemblies. Keep records as directed. Maintains tools and equipment used. Observes all safety regulations. Other duties as required.
