Maya spent the last 15 years working in healthcare, primarily in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on increasing innovation and access. Despite her extensive experience with healthcare systems globally, it wasn't until she first became a patient herself that she realized much more can be done to improve outcomes and better serve the needs of patients. An engineer and scientist by training, she strongly believes that technology combined with early patient input can address many of the gaps patients experience today in navigating the healthcare system. Her conviction that technology-based solutions that empower patients can lead to better outcomes led her to create Outcomes4Me.

Prior to founding the company, she spent many years as a senior pharmaceutical executive at both Novartis and Sanofi leading global functions, including Market Access, Policy, R&D Strategy and Business Development. Earlier in her career, she was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group and a founding member of its Strategy Institute.

Maya trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earning dual degrees in Biology and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) with a minor in Economics. She also holds a Master of Science in Toxicology, a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Systems Biology, all from MIT. She has authored numerous scientific and strategy articles and was honored with the Carlton E. Tucker award for teaching excellence, the Department Head Recognition Award for major contribution to the EECS Department at MIT, and the Burchard Scholar for excellence in humanities and social sciences.

Sami is the Chief Operating Officer at Outcomes4Me. Sami is an entrepreneur, technology professional and angel investor with a track record of founding and scaling hugely successful consumer products.

He led the reinvention of Google News, growing the team 3x, and growing the product to over a billion users. At Google he also founded and led Google Play Newsstand (grew it from zero to over a billion users), Google Play Magazines, Google Currents, and Google Friend Connect.

Prior to Google, Sami co-founded Zingku, a venture backed mobile social startup that was acquired by Google. Sami holds over 50 patents and was awarded the 2009 MIT Young Professional Award. He is a partner at the Mentors Fund. Additionally, he has advised the US State Department, MIT, Endeavor, and others on early stage entrepreneurship. Sami received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from MIT and started his career at Lotus / IBM.

Osama Rahma is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with expertise in both gastrointestinal (GI) cancers and cancer immunotherapy. As a practicing oncologist and researcher, he sees the disconnect between patients and health care on a daily basis and understands the difficulty patients face finding medically accurate, relevant information presented in lay terminology. The lack of an efficient digital system that allows patients to be matched with a treatment plan and research studies that fit their personal medical history has inspired Dr. Rahma to found Outcomes4Me.

Dr. Rahma earned his medical degree from Damascus University, followed by clinical and research fellowships at the National Cancer Institute. He has led and participated in groundbreaking clinical research studies and is part of national and international efforts to advance the field of Cancer Immunotherapy. He is a member of ASCO, AACR and SITC, and has published and co-authored numerous scientific publications.

Ben Greene is an experienced technologist who has been an integral part of building many tech startups across a range of industries. He has served as Chief Technology Officer, architect or lead engineer for companies in research administration, online auctions, education, business analytics and enterprise collaboration. Ben’s broad experience has instilled a deep understanding of technology application and startup strategy. As the child of doctors, Ben is thrilled to apply his skills to improving healthcare for those who need it most.

Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in English from Carnegie Mellon University. As a member of the oft-heralded Mr. Yuk ultimate frisbee team, Ben’s photograph hangs amidst those of other sports legends in the prestigious Pittsburgh Sports Hall of Fame.
