Alex Baron is a Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Ovia Health. Previously, Alex was a research scientist at Raytheon (formerly BBN Technologies) and has a background in natural language processing, machine learning, systems engineering and big data. Alex holds B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, PhD in Computer Science from Brandeis University, and a Masters in Statistics from Harvard University.

Before I made babies professionally, I made vending machines and satellites. I started my career at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems where I managed production lines building hardware for space flight. Next, I went to Harvard Business School where I founded Automatic Apparel which sold anything from t-shirts and headphones to umbrellas and underwear through touchscreen vending machines.



Currently at Ovia Health where I have the dream job of helping people realize their dreams of parenthood and make better health decisions every day!



Mentor to young women who are interested in engineering, tech, and entrepreneurship. Techstars and USC Viterbi Engineering mentor.
