1966

The offer was accepted at the annual stockholders meeting, and on October 19, 1966 Paramount became the first major film company to be owned by a conglomerate.

1967

In 1967, the lot underwent one of its largest expansions with the purchase of Desilu television studios from Lucille Ball.

1970

In 1970 a deal of far-reaching significance between Paramount and Universal studios was made.

1974

In 1974 Bluhdorn relinquished his position as chairman of the board at Paramount to Barry Diller, a change in leadership that in no way diminished the company’s good fortune.

1976

When Adolph Zukor died in 1976 at the age of 103, after having been chairman emeritus for 12 years, he had lived to see the rebirth of his company.

1978

Paramount Industries, Inc. became an affiliated company of EPCO in 1978 as a distributor of EPCO products as well as related products to the retail customer.

1980

The company started supplying telecom cables to the Department of Telecommunications and in the year 1980 they diversified into manufacturing of power cables.

In 1984, Diller moved over to Fox Studios.

In 1999, Redstone even went and bought the parent network CBS along with gaining many other assets.

2000

During the year 2000-01 the company shifted their manufacturing unit at Prahladpur Delhi to RICCO Industrial Area Khushkhera in Rajasthan.

2001

During the year 2001-02 the company started commercial production ar Khushkhera unit in Rajasthan.

2002

The subsidiary company Paramount Wires & Cables Ltd has issued fresh 250000 equity shares of Rs 10 each as on March 31 2002.

2003

Paramount Building Solutions was founded in 2003 in Tempe, Arizona

2006

During the year 2006-07 the company completed their first phase of expansion project.

2007

Also Paramount Gulf FZE UAE ceased to be subsidiary of the company with effect from December 31 2007 upon their winding up with the Ajman Free Zone Authority UAE.The company acquired 25 acres of land opposite to the existing plant of the company located in the Khushkhera Industrial Area Rajasthan.

2008

The said project is expected to be operational by the mid of the financial year 2008-09.The company entered into the vibrant domestic wires market with a range of cables that offer an environmentally friendly Lead Free Zero Halogen Low Smoke option.

In 2008 the companies merged to form the largest self-perform professional janitorial floor care provider in the United States

2011

These updates include a new post production sound facility built in conjunction with Technicolor (now part of Formosa Group), which opened in December, 2011.

2016

In 2016 Viacom announced that it was negotiating the sale of a 49 percent stake in Paramount Pictures to Wang Jianlin’s Dalian Wanda, a Chinese entertainment conglomerate.

2017

Although the deal was later called off, the studio received a major investment from two Chinese film companies in 2017.

2021

At 1.79 million, demat accounts opened in June fewest since Feb 2021
