JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of the Surgery Services Director and OR Clinical Care Supervisor. The Certified Surgical Technologist assists in patient care activities as the primary scrub person who handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist has an understanding of the procedures being performed. Maintains the sterile field during surgical procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Scrubs all surgical services provided at CCH.
Identifies and assures that physician preferences for surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for each case.
Maintains principles of aseptic technique.
Performs technical skills in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
Performs “on-call” duties.
Provides service excellence to all customers.
Orients new personnel to job duties.
Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education.
Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Actively participates in hospital committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program.
Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Performs proper sterilization technique on instruments/equipment.
Adheres to Surgical Services Patient Focused Code of Conduct
Required to take call.

Follows policy for collection of specimens on the sterile field, and subsequently in the transfer of the specimen to the possession of the circulating RN.
Independently takes responsibility to stay current in department communications. Weekly reviews department communication and equipment repair journals.
Clearly communicates to circulating nurse implants used, as well as discarded during the surgical procedure.
Rectifies discrepancies after surgery with circulating nurse ensuring accurate charging and documentation.
Collaborates with circulating nurse to ensure update of surgeon preference cards, and makes changes with addition of new products and supplies. Ensures the availability of supplies and equipment prior to the start of surgical procedure by reviewing the preference card. Verifies changes with surgeon at the end of the case.
Maintains sterile setup in an organized manner to facilitate relief personnel in the assumption of duties. Performs counts as required and provides methodical organization of instrumentation.

Contribute to a patient's recovery journey by facilitating psycho-educational groups.
Working in concert with the patient's counselor, aid patients as they walk through the Christian Enhancement,12-step, or Wellbriety program.
Continuously monitor patients for mental and physical well-being, including signs of illness or injury, substance use or conflict with other patients.
Aid a patient in beginning their recovery journey by processing new admissions into the program.
Conduct inspection rounds of the facility to observe patient behavior and ensure the facility is clean and hazard-free to provide an environment that supports our patients' success.
Support patient community engagement by transporting patients to appointments and meetings in the community.
Ensure patient compliance with program guidelines and log patients' daily actions and behaviors.
Monitor and report emotional and program concerns as needed.
Chart patient medication usage when needed.
Perform patient drug testing as necessary.

Job DescriptionSalary:

Responsible for the installation and removal of propane tanks, appliance and propane systems in general. Repairs and maintains customer equipment and appliances.May also assist with Delivery Representative or Propane Installer duties particularly in the winter months.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):
1.Delivers, repairs, installs, and maintains a variety of LP gas appliances and equipment which include ranges, water heaters, grills, etc., at customer locations.
2.Determines and corrects malfunction of appliances and equipment by adjusting, cleaning, fixing, or replacing various components.
3.Educates customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety of appliances and gas equipment.
4.Completes work orders and maintains accurate records of work performed for billing.
5.Installs tanks at residential and commercial customer locations.
6.Confers with customers to determine preferred site in compliance with industry, state, and local regulations, and company safety standards.
7.Installs and maintains gas piping systems which include underground gas lines, inside piping, regulators, meters and liquid dispensing systems.
8.Makes a detailed check of installations to ensure general operations acceptance. (Gas check or pressure check).
9.Operates company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, performs daily inspections and advises supervisor of needed repairs.
10.Promotes use of LP gas or electric services by suggesting additional uses to customers and relating the quality, service, and dependability of company products.
11.Maintains, company owned equipment, which include tanks, cylinders, valves, etc.
12.Delivers propane gas when needed
13.Takes rotation for on-call duty.
14.Conducts oneself in such a manner as to contribute a better understanding of the company when in contact with members or the general public, as well as maintaina harmonious relationship with all Fall River personnel.
15.Uses all required safety equipment and follows all applicable safety regulations, company policies and procedures. Reports and takes appropriate measures to address any unsafe conditions. Reports all accidents and damage to management in a timely manner.
16.Performs related duties as assigned.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent education
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer some related experience and/or training such as CETP
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Most work will be performed outside at various customer locations along with some office environment.Driving and product and service delivery conditions will vary by season, and will including extreme cold and snow. Service area includes mountainous terrain, and the operation of equipment on some unpaved roadways.
