The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day's schedule. Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. Perform other duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. SUMMARY The Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. What you will do in this role: Responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. Conducts individual and group psycho-education, leisure activities and life- skill training and coaching for all patients. Responsible for safety monitoring of patients and of the unit. Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. CPR certification and Handle With Care within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Must be at least 21 years of age.
