    Entertainment Technicians at the park are responsible for the operation and basic installation/maintenance of all show productions sound, video, special effects, and lighting equipment. Technicians will provide support for all shows, educational presentations, themed events, and seasonal events such as Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Installation of equipment may require working at height including the use of ladders, climbing scaffolding, and use of a man-lift. Responsibilities: Job Duties: Perform daily operational duties to assist the department to include covering open positions, communicating show changes, schedule changes and other details and sharing information with co-workers and management. Perform all assignments and responsibilities as outlined for a stagehand, spotlight operator, light board operator, audio operator, special effects operator, and camera operator. Operate a spotlight, light board, audio console, video camera, and/or special effects equipment for shows and special events in the park. Will occasionally perform stagehand show scene shifts and other behind the scene duties for shows. Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for scenic elements, sound system, video equipment, special effects equipment, lighting system, lighting fixtures or other technical components. Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards through all assigned tasks. Consistently set the example for following all park policies and procedures. Maintain departmental and area safety policies and procedures. Perform other functions as directed by management for the good of the department and park. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge of technical theater, including but not limited to: theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, video, theatrical scenery and drapery, set decorating, scenic and prop construction, maintenance and repair. College level experience in Theatre or related discipline or equivalent related employment experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work flexible schedule including early mornings/days/evenings/late nights/weekends/holidays. Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude. Be capable of successfully interacting with various entertainers, technicians, outside contractors, entertainment and park staff, and personnel from other departments. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Hands on capability to operate technical equipment and troubleshoot technical problems. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in both natural and artificial lighting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Lighting is both natural and artificial. Equipment used includes radios, microphones, and cleaning tools. General Certification Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) License Certification from either: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear (ARRT(N)) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Department Overview Scanners/Rooms: 1 PET Scanner 3 Nuclear Medicine Cameras Coverage: 70% PET 30% Nuclear Medicine Common Types of Imaging/Studies Performed PET Imaging: PET CT brain PET CT whole body Nuclear Medicine Imaging: Bone scan Whole body scan Brain scans Cardiac pool and MPI SPECT CSF Cisternogram Gastric emptying HIDA scans GI blood loss Lung perfusion scans Parathyroid, renal scans Sentinel node, thyroid scans Whole body and thyroid uptake scans PSA scans (coming soon) Experience or 'Must Have' Skills Required: Must have IV experience. Open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience. PET and Nuclear Medicine experience preferred. No new graduates; must have 1-2 years of previous experience in PET. Average Workload PET Scans: 8-10 per day (1 tech) Nuclear Medicine Scans: 12-15 per day (split between 2 techs) Technology and Equipment EMR/PACS: Epic PACS: eUnity (General viewer), MIMS (PET viewer) Department Specific Equipment: PET: Mobile unit Phillips Gemini (new machine in September) Nuclear Medicine: Siemens equipment Additional Information Radiology Supervisor/Lead Tech: The Lead Tech functions as an alternate radiation safety officer and will work closely with new hires. Radiologists on-site: Multiple radiologists available 24/7. IV Starts: Required to start IVs. Scheduling Details Shifts: Centralized scheduling office utilizes a template. Weekday Hours: M-F, either 7 AM to 3 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM. Weekend and Holiday Requirements: On-call rotation required.
