Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment. Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner. The Lead Processing Technician is responsible for accessioning and manually processing laboratory specimens with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This role supports daily quality assurance activities, performs routine equipment maintenance, and helps ensure compliance with laboratory standards. The Lead Technician guides day-to-day workflow, assists with problem-solving, and maintains smooth operational processes in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include participating in meetings with supervisors and managers, contributing to process improvements and future development initiatives, and providing training and performance feedback to team members. This position functions as an extension of the leadership team, supporting both operational excellence and team growth. A caregiver in this position works days, from 7:00am-3:30pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Perform manual processing (centrifuge, aliquoting and routine maintenance) * Perform problem solving functions and solving/issue resolution. * Ensure compliance with basic regulations (temperature monitoring). * Perform QA activities (pending log audit). * Oversee shift operations and manage workflow issues. * Adjust daily schedule as needed. * Act as a technical resource, ensuring SOPs and policies are followed and FVPM of equipment is performed as required. * Assist in troubleshooting. * Inform management/supervision of issues and ensure appropriate communication between shifts.
