Under the supervision of the golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent, the Greenkeeper Intern will perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; do semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operate small hand-powered equipment; and occasionally perform work involving large equipment. Each Intern may be assigned responsibility for the care and maintenance of several designated holes on the golf course and does related work as required. Because Pebble Beach Company is open seven days a week, you may be scheduled to work holidays and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Operates mowers and string trimmers in mowing greens, aprons, tees, around trees, fence lines, banks and hillsides; edges cart paths; edges, rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
* Sets tee markers and cups on greens daily; maintains ball washers; replaces tee towels and flags when needed; removes debris; sands and seeds tee and drop area divots; and cleans flower beds, dune areas or forested sites.
* Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment mechanic immediately, and/or management.
* Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans the maintenance areas, wash pads or related cleaning areas.
* Helps in project work; assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds tees, greens and fairways.
* Excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools.
* Mows greens, tees, aprons, and approaches to greens, and other areas.
* Rakes sand traps with power rakes.
* Repairs greens with seed or plugs of new grass when needed.
* Operates utility vehicles on the course and on the road.
* May be asked to operate mowers, dump trucks or other light equipment.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills:
* Currently enrolled in a two or four year Turfgrass Management degree or certificate program, or in a related field.
* Prior golf course or sports turf experience preferred.
* General knowledge and interest of golf turf fundamentals.
* Willingness to learn and expand your current skill set.
* Familiarity with golf terminology.
* Valid driver's license with 2 points or less.

About the Role:
Step into the world of golf administration as a P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern with the Championships & Golf Operations team! This part-time, seasonal internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with over 300 event days annually, including Championships, Qualifiers, One-Day Series, Team Play, and Member Outings.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Manager to help coordinate and execute these events, gaining practical experience in the field while supporting our commitment to educating SCGA members and clubs about the Rules of Golf. This part-time internship offers 20 to 30 hours of work per week. This position is expected to start March 2026 and run through November 2026. The compensation for the role is $22.50 per hour.
What You'll Do:
Field Events
Act as the primary contact and on-site liaison for SCGA/CGA/USGA qualifiers, One-Day Series tournaments, and Member Outings throughout Southern California.
Perform pre-tournament site visits to ensure readiness and coordination.
Coordinate extensively with host facility personnel to facilitate event logistics.
Oversee golf course setup to ensure compliance with tournament standards.
Prepare player pairings, information sheets, local rules, and volunteer assignments.
Provide on-site supervision during events to ensure smooth operations.

Soboba Casino Resort (SCR) supports the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians commitment to Tribal Member employment and self-sufficiency. Interns accepted into the Tribal Member Career Readiness and Development Program can opt for placement in the property overview rotation with professional development and skills guidance through work assignments in various departments to enhance their education and previous work experience. Interns can also choose the position rotation to solely focus on one specific department and/or position for the duration of the internship program prior to job placement.

Education / Qualifications
Be a registered member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians.
Be at least 18 years of age and older; Some “gaming positions” have an age requirement of 21 years and older.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required OR in the process of obtaining a high school diploma or GED.
Have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
Have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Be able to substantiate eligibility to work in the United States as verifiable on the Form I-9.
Certificates, licenses and registration
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.

Position Summary
West Pak offers a selective internship program for undergraduate and graduate students interested in agriculture, produce, and business operations. Interns gain hands-on experience, cross-departmental exposure, and complete a customized project aligned with their background and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in departmental projects in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, California Field Team, or Sales. Each project will have specific work product deliverables and a timeline.
• Engage in cross-functional learning and field experience opportunities
• Complete at least one customized project based on your academic focus and company needs
• Collaborate with team members to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Attend learning sessions to gain insight into the avocado industry and global produce markets
Requirements
• Must work on-site (remote work is not available)

• Course of study should be related to agriculture or a business area aligned with West Pak's operations (e.g., finance, supply chain, sales) and your career interests

The employee will also be in contact with chemical products and machinery.
• Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts, stacks, and pallets, and may be exposed to high places and surfaces. There is moderate noise in the work environment. The incumbent for this position may be on call for emergencies, as needed, according to business requirements.
• The incumbent may be exposed to situations in which occasional lifting may be involved (up to 50 lbs.), with or without assistance. There will be exposure to working in hot or cold environments (38°ree;F-60°ree;F) and to hot or wet (humid) locations.
