Join our team as a FieldServiceTechnician- Surveying, GPR & 3D Laser Scanning!
This is a role based out of our Maumee, OH office. The position is a salaried role and includes eligibility for overtime pay.
Matrix Technologies is seeking a self-driven FieldServiceTechnician to support our engineering and architectural teams in delivering high-quality data collection and site analysis for industrial and manufacturing clients. This role involves operating advanced field equipment, including 3D laser scanners, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and GPS surveying tools, to gather accurate site data. The technician will also assist in developing engineering documentation and maintaining strong client relationships
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operate 3D laser scanning, GPR, and surveying equipment at client sites to collect engineering data.
* Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers or project leaders.
* Prepare detailed design drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360.
* Assist in developing engineering contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

* Experience with topographic and GPS surveying, 3D laser scanning, and GPR utility locating is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently across multiple projects.
* Willingness to travel and perform field work in industrial environments
* Estimated travel is 70-80%, with 25-30% overnight travel.
