Responsibilities
+ Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.
+ Retrieve and process Unit of Use and Bulk items.
+ Read computer-generated screens to find indicated medication on labeled shelves, verifying size and strength of the product before filling the order.
+ Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity, opening large quantities of bottles and cases of products.
+ Use basic mathematical reasoning to either count or calculate the appropriate number of units needed to fill prescriptions.
+ Utilize handheld scanner units to scan barcodes of products for replenishment.
+ Demonstrate problem resolution skills, including the ability to recognize, address, and escalate issues.
+ Maintain focus and acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks with absolute accuracy.
+ Maintain the pharmacy floor in a clean and orderly condition.
+ Understand and abide by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
+ Process orders for shipping, including folding/packing paperwork and attaching shipping labels.
+ Fill, pack, and ship prescriptions with 100% accuracy and efficiency using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supported hardware and software.
+ Adhere to and promote the Company's Shared ICARE Principles.
+ Mandatory overtime is required based on business needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HS diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and carry 20-30 lbs of merchandise.
+ Standing/walking continuously during the shift (8 hours per day).
+ Requires bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and pinching.
+ Visual acuity to read computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels.
+ Good computer skills.
+ Warehouse experience is a plus.
+ Strong interpersonal skills in a constantly changing production environment.
+ A Pharmacy Tech degree is not required in NYS.
+ Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused.
+ Positive attitude, handling adversity and ambiguity well.
Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled, ensuring comfort during shifts. The position requires part-time work, ranging from 24 to 36 hours a week. Fridays and Sundays are mandatory workdays. The schedule is as follows: Sunday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm), Monday (9:00 am - 2:00 pm), Tuesday (9:00 am - 2:00 pm), Thursday (9:00 am - 2:00 pm), and Friday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm)

WCCHS, a full-service, County-owned health system comprised of a 62-bed acute-care hospital with a 138-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, NY, provides 24-hour emergency care as well as a full range of specialty health care.
Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician performs specialized clerical work involving the receipt and delivery of medications in accordance with well-defined procedures. These workers provide the pharmacist clerical support in maintaining inventories, ordering and reordering supplies and performs related clerical tasks. The work is performed in a highly controlled environment since the work is in a secured area containing controlled substances. All work involving the procurement and/or disbursement of these controlled substances is performed under the immediate supervision of a pharmacist.
Pharmacy Hours
* Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm (shifts include: 7a-3p or 9am - 5pm)
