Verify reagent's expiration dates. • Requires by HIPAA to protect the privacy and security of the Personal Health Information to which you have access and follow OSHA and CLIA regulations. Assist support personnel by assisting them during the day across various departments as requested, and working overtime hours as necessary. EKG: • Prepare room for the patient. • Prepare the patient with cape, drape sheet or other supplies needed to maintain modesty and dignity. • Apply electrodes, operate EKG machine according to manufacturer's instructions to obtain proper tracings. • Identify patient by name and DOB and register in the monitor. Label tracing as required and consult with provider if any unusual circumstances affect the test. • Responsible for the maintenance and storage of the equipment. • Responsible to work with the manufacturer for equipment troubleshooting. • Verify for proper order in Electronic Health Records (EHR). Spirometry: • Run the calibration of the equipment every 24 hours for day of use. • Identify patient by name and DOB. • Prepare the patient and test following the manufactures' instruction and laboratory Policies and Procedure Manual. • Report accurate results to a licensed provider. • Maintain and store the equipment. • Work with the manufacturer for the troubleshooting of the equipment. Specimen Processing and Results Reporting: • Verify to order test in EHR. • Draw patient's blood and follow instructions for specimen processing. • Process specimens according to the reference lab guidelines. • Track and review tests results in EHR every day. • Communicate with providers, clinic staff and reference lab for smooth operation of the department. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT The individual must pass a background check from the Washington State Patrol and from other States when required. This person must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all patient related information and a complete hire packet.
