Description
This is a part-time, 24 hours per week, phlebotomy position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekend availability. Flexibility with hours is needed for clients who may start earlier or stay later than the posted hours. Must be comfortable driving to client sites in various areas of East Lansing and Eaton Harbor. Base hourly rate includes float differential compensation.

Responsibilities:
* Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
* Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
* Identifies need for patient medical assistance and call code as appropriate.
* Reviews/Records refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records. Areas of concern are recorded through the Corrective Action Log and reported to maintenance for repair. Findings are reported to supervisor or manager.
* Use manual requisitions and labels specimens appropriately.
* Label and process specimens according to establishes protocols and policies.
* Must effectively procure blood specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair bound patients.
* Must demonstrate competency for age related responsibilities.
* Understands the operation and maintenance of equipment pertinent to the job.
* Follows up with all outstanding orders on manifest log, and communicates all timed, completed or uncompleted draws/charges/results to the client office staff and performs other duties as assigned.

About the role:We are currently seeking PRN (as needed) Mobile Phlebotomist interested in joining a high-growth stage startup with strong experience in working in hospitals, in office, or mobile environments. Candidates must maintain a high standard of excellence with minimal supervision.
You must be available for a 5am-1pm at least 3 days a week between Monday and Friday!

Visit patients in their home or office, drive to and from appointments, drop samples off at patient service centers or laboratories
Follow safe and accurate blood collection procedures and processing of specimens, with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to adapt in a rapid high-growth environment
Maintain close communication with the operations and patient experience team during business hours
What we are looking for:
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
1 year of phlebotomy experience (mobile phlebotomy experience preferred)
Experience processing samples
Certification from a national agency such as American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record
Proof of first shot of Covid-19 Vaccine by 30 days of employment
