In the year 1869, exactly one year after the Alpha Chapter at the University of Virginia was formed, the Beta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha was founded at Davidson College.
In the fall of 1900, Charles Nash Williams of Gamma sought to expand another chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha to Lexington, Kentucky.
The Alpha Kappa Chapter was founded November 28, 1905 at what was then known as the Missouri School of Mines & Metallurgy (now Missouri S&T).
The organisation had also remained a southern fraternity until the New Orleans Convention in the year 1909 when Pi Kappa Alpha officially declared itself a national organization.
Our chapter was originally founded as a local fraternity known as Phi Delta in 1914.
Another pivotal event in the Fraternity’s history is the 1933 Troutdale Convention.
As of the year 1978, Theta Chapter is the longest continual running chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha.
These accolades include 6 out of the last 10 Circle of Excellence Awards (the highest award given to a Fraternity by TU) and 9 Robert Adger Smythe Awards (the pinnacle achievement of any PIKE chapter) since 2000.
