Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous and non-hazardous materials clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, handling of hazardous materials, and other duties as required.
Requirements
40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required
Based on OSHA and industry health standards, wear proper personal protective equipment when required
Work effectively and communicate with team members and other departments
Inform the management team of issues that arise on jobs in a timely manner
Update job notes daily
Physically fit; able to lift 75 lbs.
Able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced team-supported environment
Lead safety in all aspects of emergency response, including following R+L procedures, properly containerizing waste/re-use products, and completing safety documentation, and upholding R+L's high level of safety

What are the role requirements?
Ability to shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas during snow season.
Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push or pull up to 80 pounds
Experience in irrigation is a plus
