Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous and non-hazardous materials clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, handling of hazardous materials, and other duties as required.

Core Functions
As an Environmental Technician, you will be learning in an apprentice fashion. Operating water jetting & blasting equipment to clean industrial infrastructure, various equipment and facility components.

Perform Confined Space Entry in order to perform Tank Cleaning.
Use of hand tools.
Maintaining and cleaning equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

Inspecting surfaces and equipment before and after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.

Role
As an Environmental Technician, you will assist clients in meeting compliance standards by inspecting and monitoring their sites while maintaining high levels of safety and integrity. Experience is not required, but related experience is a plus.

Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment, and data collectors.
Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing;

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GROUNDS TECHNICIANAs a grounds technician, you are responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community. You perform detailed maintenance of exterior lighting, snow removal, pond maintenance and seasonal cleanup, lawn mowing/maintenance, trash removal, and exterior painting as required. You take pride in performing and scheduling preventative maintenance and care about the integrity of all equipment. In this role, you have a meaningful impact on the quality of life for our residents and their families. By providing excellent customer service, you are a friendly and courteous presence for our residents. You communicate effectively with your team and our residents, always maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect. Your satisfaction comes from gaining work experience while providing excellent services to our residents!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GROUNDS TECHNICIAN Mechanically inclined, strong commitment to quality and safety, professional, friendly, and courteous, work well with other team members.
WORK SCHEDULE FOR GROUNDS TECHNICIANS This full-time position works Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and will require rotating on-call shifts.
