QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Resort or Urban Planning, Land Use Planning, or related field. 5+ years of experience in land use planning, zoning, and development entitlements, preferably in a resort development firm or consulting environment. Strong knowledge of land use regulations, zoning codes, and development processes at the local, state, and federal levels. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex land use issues and develop creative solutions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around project proposals. Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and other relevant planning software is a plus. Professional certification (AICP) or eligibility for certification is preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Requires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort's insurance carrier. WRITING SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and inquiries. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
