As the CEO of Powerley, Manoj Kumar is implementing a vision to proliferate intelligent home solutions through the utility channel. Leveraging over two decades of experience in industry and management consulting across a spectrum of early-stage and public high tech companies, Manoj is building the team and the strategy to drive Powerley’s leadership position. Working hand-in-hand with leading utilities globally, Manoj is helping them redefine their role in an energy sector that is evolving rapidly - delivering new levels of efficiency, new consumer experiences and new revenue streams.

Prior to Powerley, Manoj was a Partner at McKinsey & Co.’s Silicon Valley office, helping clients with strategy and operations advice to scale and grow. Prior to McKinsey, Manoj was a Partner at PwC and PRTM (acquired by PwC). And, earlier in his career held engineering roles at Cypress Semiconductor and Allied Signal.

Manoj’s experience is complemented with an education that blends business focus with technical acumen. He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan; an MS in Semiconductor Physics/Computer Engineering from Michigan State; and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Mangalore University India.
