The role focuses primarily on trauma, inpatient, and consult coverage, with minimal clinic volume, and serves a hub hospital that supports 16 surrounding counties and a population of over 200,000. EPIC is used for EMR, and teaching opportunities are available through internal medicine and family medicine residency programs. Services provided include laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgery, endoscopy, clinic consults, follow-ups, and trauma call coverage.
