Operate various production equipment, including auto and manual metal stamping presses, foot shear, brake press, drills, honing machines, manual mills and manual lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
Perform operator maintenance.
Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process.
Maintain work station to 5S standards.
Perform all work according to PAC safety standards.
Comply with all PAC policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Vision to AS 9100 standards.
Hand/eye coordination and dexterity to effectively work with both large and small hand tools.
Lift, push and/or pull 75 pounds.
Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The production assistant is an integral part of the stage management team. This position will provide selected candidates with the opportunity to learn and work alongside professional Equity and non-Equity theater personnel. Stage Management personnel are expected to devote such amounts of time, energy and skill as may be necessary to perform the duties required hereunder, and shall perform each and every duty and obligation with due diligence and to the best of their knowledge, skill, judgment, and ability. Hours are dependent on rehearsal and performance times and include evenings and weekends. Your responsibilities will include:
Report on time as scheduled for required shifts including but not limited to pre-production, rehearsals, understudy rehearsals, tech, previews, and performances
Provide support to the production as a member of the stage management team with supervision from the AEA Stage Managers
Assist and support stage management staff to create and maintain a safe and functional rehearsal room environment and with all stage management duties as assigned
Serve as a member of the deck crew for tech and performances
Create and maintain paperwork for props tracking, blocking and more under the supervision of stage managers
Other show duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will focus on one of the following areas, and we plan to cross-train in the future so that you may work in any area. In the coating area, you may work as:
A Clipper, clipping and securing lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
A Machine Operator, preparing and operating the coating machine to coat the lenses properly. This will include:
Loading machine chemicals.
Loading and unloading sectors with lenses.
An Inspector, inspecting lenses to ensure that they are optically and cosmetically accurate.
In finishing, you may work as:
A Beveler, utilizing the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lens.
A Mounter, inserting edged lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment, and inserting lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit.
An Edger Operator, using variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frame.
A Finish Layout preparer, readying uncut lenses for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/block.
A Tinter, accurately tinting all lenses.
An inspector, checking lenses and frames to ensure quality standards are met.
In surfacing, you may work as:
A Surfacing Blocker, utilizing the blocking machine to accurately secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing department. You'll operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to the front of the lenses.
A Surface Finer/Polisher, operating the equipment used to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing depart.
A Lens Washer, hand washing and drying lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses. You'll grasp lenses with a de-blocking cup and strike it against the table to remove block from lenses, and also remove tape from lenses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be a good fit for the Production Associate opportunity, you will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
High mechanical aptitude.
1+ years of related work experience, such as in manufacturing; experience in lab settings is preferred but not required.

Spring Meadow Nursery produces potted shrub liners which are shipped throughout the United States and Canada. The liners are propagated by cuttings, they are rooted in Westbrook greenhouses which are outfitted with traveling irrigators, high pressure fog system and computer controlled environment. After the cuttings are rooted, they are moved to Westbrook open roof greenhouses to finish off the plants for sale.
We continue to expand our operations every year and currently have over 40 acres of production area. Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:
Involvement in the Spring Meadow IPM program across all three main production departments
Perform weekly scouting of crops to monitor for unwanted pests or diseases
Evaluate pest-tracking tools such as yellow sticky cards and pheromone traps
Organize and mix biological organisms that arrive on a weekly basis
Apply biological organisms to pre-determined target sites
Use of dissecting microscopes to scout for pests such as foliar nematodes, thrips, two-spotted spider mite and other seasonal pests
Maintain and update physical inventory of plant liners/trays/pots across departments
Monitor liner and container soil water levels during extended periods of high temperatures
Perform analytical tests such as soil sampling for pH and EC levels, Chlorine concentration in irrigation water and saturation tests
Collect plant tissue samples for further analysis at off-site laboratories
Track movement and survival rate of plants that move between the three production departments
Assist in daily record keeping of greenhouse crew labor hours and determine activity rates of crews by working with assistant managers

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a plant science-related field or have 1-2 years or related work experience. Must be dependable and hardworking when it comes to performing daily tasks. Computer skills are required for data and inventory tasks in NAV (inventory tracking database) as well as proficiency in Excel and Word. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are highly desirable as well.
Must possess the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move 20 pounds.
