Responsibilities
Lathe Production Assistant Responsibilities:
Maintaining machines (Coolants/Oil Levels/Cleaning out between jobs)
Change out part-bins when full
Inspect parts in production on a 60-120 minute basis
Assist Production Supervisor with machine changeovers including tooling changes and setups
Manage all scrap produced on machines (keep separated and organized)
Load materials on machines for production runs
Some light finishing operations (drilling/deburring)
Keep Lathe department a clean and organized work environment
Other duties as assigned
Lathe Production Assistant Qualifications:
High School Diploma or FED or equivalent work experience
Experience machining or a technical trade
Desire to learn new skills and abilitiees due to production and deadline
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to perform computations
Ability to work with minimum supervision to meet customer delivery requirements
Ability to organize and make work-related decisions based on deadlines and customer specifications
Forklift/Reach experience and ability
Ability to obtain a forklift license if needed
Occasional lifting and carrying not to exceed 40lbs.

Inspect linens and package product per company quality and efficiency standards prior to finishing
