About the Job The Production Associate II - QC is responsible for ensuring that all raw material and processes regarding Trim Room operations meet the company's quality standards. This role involves monitoring employees, enforcing quality control procedures, and working closely with various departments to resolve quality issues. What You Will Do Performs Quality Inspections on all material processed through the Trim Room Routinely performs quality inspections on dry cannabis in queue for the Trim Room process Accurately Reports QC Data (daily trim weights, trim performance) in real-time to Trim Room Lead Identify quality issues, report and follow up on corrective actions needed Cross trained to back-up Trim Room Lead in their absence Collaborates with other departments on quality processes, trends, issues, and improvements Reviews and Follows all SOP's, recommends adjustments and improvements Teams with Trim Room Lead in moisture testing, evaluation of material to determine production schedule Assists Trim Room Lead in training new employees, mentor/coach employees to optimize trimming process Any and all other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: * Support the department supervisor in managing workflow, delegating tasks, and monitoring production schedules. * Assist machine operators with operations, changeovers, and training of new employees. * Communicate with support teams to ensure production lines have the necessary resources. * Serve as a backup for various line positions including machine operators and supervisors. * Provide production employees with supplies, equipment, and machine parts needed for daily tasks. * Collaborate with maintenance for machine repairs and troubleshooting. * Review work orders for accuracy and assist in resolving documentation issues. * Ensure quality procedures and programs are followed, including support for SQF, JST, and new hire training. * Communicate production status updates to other departments. * Maintain audit-ready work areas and assist with internal and external audits. * Promote and reinforce safety, quality, and GMP standards. * Uphold food safety and quality standards in compliance with regulatory requirements. * Report any food safety or quality concerns to management immediately. * Foster a collaborative environment by sharing knowledge and supporting team development. * Practice safe work behaviors and participate in safety observations and initiatives. Qualifications: * 1-2 years of experience in a related department or field. * Ability to read, write, and speak English. * Strong interpersonal and coaching skills. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. * Basic computer proficiency.
