Duties and Responsibilities Receives, inspects and evaluates all raw materials. Assists in the development, revision, etc. of raw materials as needed. Assists in maintaining an orderly plant layout - cleans and organizes areas as necessary. Interacts with vendors when necessary. Cleans mixer and staging areas. Makes sure the area is ready for the next day's staging of materials. Assembles forms using hand tools and power tools. May use various glues, adhesives and other bonding agents; grease and other form release agents; screws, bolts and other fasteners. Materials used to construct the form may include wood, rubber, steel, plastics and/or Styrofoam. As required by production (based on QA checks or problems), repairs forms using hand tools, power tools, and necessary materials typically used in form construction. Reviews blueprints/sketches of shape specifications. Compares assembled forms and finished shape measurements to blueprints to evaluate quality. Uses lifting equipment to move shapes and forms as needed. Uses hand tools and power tools to finish shapes prior to drying.
