Position Summary
The Manager, Production Operations leads 24/7 plasma fractionation and purification manufacturing operations. This role provides operational and technical leadership, drives cGMP compliance, and partners closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing. This is a newly created role with strong growth potential.
Reports to the Senior Director, Production Operations and manages two Manufacturing Supervisors overseeing teams of Group Leads and Technicians (Tech I-III working 4x12 schedules).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily fractionation and purification manufacturing operations
Drive cGMP compliance, quality systems, and right-first-time execution
Manage deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and training
Support production targets, yield, and operational plans
Partner with Engineering and support teams on process improvements
Lead audits, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop staff through coaching, training, and performance management
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing experience
Strong cGMP and aseptic manufacturing background
Proven leadership experience managing teams in a 24/7 environment
Solid understanding of FDA regulations and GMP requirements
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Plant Manager for Pero Family Farms Food Company, LLC is located in Delray Beach, FL at our fully integrated facility. This is an all-encompassing position that is important to the continued success of the company. This position exhibits strong communication and leadership. Overseeing all aspects of the operations while working closely with Pero Family Farms Corporate Supply, Operations, Distribution, and Sales Teams.
JOB OVERVIEW
Oversee daily/weekly schedules and shifts.
Will be responsible for monitoring and controlling all costs associated with the Delray Beach, FL regional facility, including: the facility, equipment, production, supplies, and transportation.
Accountable for the general management of the Delray Beach, FL facility: Production, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, Sanitation, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Supervision of employees.
Will work closely with the Food Safety Manager to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external third-party audits performed on a regular basis and to ensure all areas follow OSHA Guidelines and Primus Lab requirements.
Will ensure all Famous (Warehouse Management System) procedures are followed and documented.
Participate as a member of the company's product recall team.
Provide leadership and direction for facility personnel, such as: Motivation, Evaluation, Guidance, Employee Relations Issues, and Attendance.
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND QUALITY:
Comply, maintain, and enforce all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Ensure safety is the cornerstone of the operational facility, characterized by high operator awareness and involvement, and results in zero lost time or accidents.
Ensure that good housekeeping and organization are in place in the operational facility.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Communicate with Legal Counsel and the safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
Initiate corrective actions to audit deficiencies.
MANUFACTURING:
Ensure order fulfillment, product traceability, and product quality measures are being met daily.
Will be responsible for the training of personnel on the proper use of equipment.
Participate in operational problem resolution.
Prepare an annual budget and schedule expenditures.
Ensure preventive/predictive maintenance systems is routinely used to plan/schedule equipment and facility maintenance.
Track vendor pricing and service levels.
Develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; follow SOPs for all manufacturing operations (receiving product, equipment utilization, production, inventory management, or shipping).
Meet or exceed labor budget KPI's such as labor cost, per pound, bags per minute, etc.
Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.
Serve as the primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents on-site.
Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
Minimize shrinkage of product and maximize yield
WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT:
Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline direct reports.
Communicate job expectations; communicate effectively at staff meetings, conduct employee reviews, etc.
Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues.

The POSITION: Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervising operations within a facility to achieve higher output. This includes the coordination and evaluation of production activities between stations to ensure optimum efficiency and attainment of production and quality goals.
Monitor daily production and adjust production based on inventory. • Identify opportunities for improvements in manufacturing quality, optimization, and process standardization.
Maintaining communication between team members and manufacturing leaders to ensure daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and procedures and policies are well-understood. • Develop meaningful partnerships with our internal departments and team members. • Create a culture of empowerment and accountability.
Ensuring the flow of production materials, machinery, and other resources.
Develop talent and recognize Production Associates' contributions and accomplishments.
Prepare the production floor for daily production.
Support manufacturing including investigation into root cause of manufacturing defects and/or failures and recommendation and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
Work with management and our employees to leverage their experience and knowledge, and to drive process improvements.
Confirm final documentation accuracy of production/engineering work orders.
Drive the continuous improvement culture with a “Plan, Do, Check, Act” management style.
Document and respond to production and quality statistics related to output and lot traceability performance issues.
Perform and document product testing to confirm and maintain quality requirements.
Participate in process improvement and lean implementation. Support 5S to maintain established housekeeping standards. Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities.
Evaluates employee's overall performance, establishing goals and objectives for proper manufacturing techniques.
Observe, enforce, and conduct audits of quality, safety, and compliance standards to ensure Production Associates abide by TSS policies, procedures, and departmental expectations.
Ensure all product, material, parts, and documentation follow Company specifications and quality standards.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary according to process. Lead and support day-to-day production activities within assigned area of responsibility to ensure 99.9% On-time delivery (OTD), Quality errors >1% in an accident-free environment.
Ensure workers acquire necessary knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties as well as holding them accountable to meet efficiency standards.
Work with team members to suggest and implement process improvements and actively champions safety programs.
Document and improve standard work to improve training of employees and facilitate crosstraining.
Visually inspects parts to quality standards as described in the quality system.
Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
Communicates any problems which arise to the Department Manager
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of related industry manufacturing experience. Demonstrated experience in project management
Craftmanship background preferred. Comfortable on the manufacturing floor working hand-in-hand with teams. Experience developing employees and a team based work environment.
Two plus years of experience as a leader in process oriented environment required
