Proprium Capital Partners Leadership

John Curran, CFA, is the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer and a Managing Director of Proprium Capital Partners, L.P. John also serves as the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Prior to joining Proprium, John was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley based in London and New York, and Chief Financial Officer of Special Situations Fund II and Special Situations Fund III, the $6 billion global real estate securities hedge fund.

John joined Morgan Stanley in 2003, initially working in the firm’s private wealth management division before moving to the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing Platform in 2006. Whilst at Morgan Stanley Real Estate John was responsible for managing $2 billion of fund credit facilities and $3 billion of currency hedges.

Wesley Blijleven is the Finance Director and part of the investment fund managed by Proprium Capital Partners, L.P.

Wesley’s responsibilities for the fund include reporting, treasury, regulatory, corporate governance and finance for the corporate entities that form the investment fund and are predominately serviced from the Netherlands. Serving as director on boards to be the linking pin between the business units, external advisory teams and local managing boards.

Wesley has over 15 years of finance, corporate governance and entity management experience.

Wesley was an Executive Director at and worked for almost 12 years for the entity management platform of Morgan Stanley (MSREF, MSPEA, MSIP, MSCP, SSFII and SSF III).

Wesley also worked for Centerbridge Partners LP based in Amsterdam and Luxembourg where he was responsible for the set-up of the European entity management team.

He started his career as assistant auditor at an audit firm.

Wesley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics.
