PFG has a rich history dating back to 1880 when Provident was founded in Bradford by Joshua Kelley Waddilove.
By the time Sir Joshua Waddilove dies in 1920, The Provident Clothing and Supply Co Limited has grown into a nationwide business with over 5,000 agents operating from a head office in Bradford.
Provident, our original home credit business, notably endures the Wall Street Crash of 1929.
In 1967 a brand new head office was built on Sunbridge Road in Bradford to accommodate the increasing number of colleagues.
In 1991, Mary joined Fletcher Financial Network as an independent Financial Advisor.
In 1994, Mary and Bonnie met at a financial planning conference and quickly bonded over their mutual vision for quality financial consulting.
In 1995, Bonnie joined Mary and the team of advisors at Fletcher Financial Network as an independent Financial Advisor.
In November of 2005, Bonnie and Mary partnered to officially form Provident Financial Consultants, LLC, based in Oshkosh WI. Two years later, they welcomed financial consultant, Brian J. Petersen, to the Provident team.
In 2007, Provident broke ground for a new building, and the office was complete and open for business by October of that year.
The business breaks through the 2 million customer number at the end of 2008.
