Dave Bowen is a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits as a Founder/CEO and Board Member within the Chicago tech community. In January 2017, Dave assumed a majority ownership stake and the roles of Chairman & CEO of Purchasing Platform – a B2B digital GPO marketplace tailored specifically for key pillars of the real estate industry (including manufactured housing, multifamily and commercial). In August 2019, Purchasing Platform was recognized as #1164 in Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America. Prior to joining Purchasing Platform, Dave was Founder & CEO of MarketMaker4 (“MM4”), a next-generation eSourcing technology company that he, along with two co-founders, sold to Xchanging in 2013 for $22M. As CEO, Dave oversaw all key business functions for a business that experienced 6 consecutive years of double digit growth an expansion to offices in more than 20 countries globally. Following the acquisition, Bowen remained CEO of MM4 while assuming the additional role of Country Manager, Americas for Xchanging – a FTSE listed global UK company where he acted as an ambassador for all of the company’s business activities in the region. From 2013-2016, Dave oversaw a team of 150 and annual revenues in excess of $35M. Prior to founding MarketMaker4, Dave held a variety of senior leadership roles at TradingPartners. Between 2004-2010, Dave helped transform TradingPartners from a team of less than 5 in a single Chicago office to a US organization of more than 100 employees and 4 offices around the US generating $2M in EBITDA. During his tenure as US Commercial Director and subsequently Managing Director of the Atlanta, Dallas and New York offices, TradingPartners secured more than $4M in a Series A and enjoyed 30+ quarters of consecutive growth. Dave is also an active Board Member & Advisor for tech firms in both Chicago and Indianapolis. From Jan 2017 - September 2018, Dave supported the leadership team as a Board Member at NeonCRM – an CRM solution for the non-profit sector – as they secured a $40M valuation and part sale to FTV Capital as part of an industry roll up. From 2015-18, he was also a Board Member and helped advise the leadership of Ayuda Rehab & Wellness (a minority-owned home health services provider) with their sale to HealthPro Heritage. He currently sits on the Board of Chicago-based tech company LCP360 – a leading SaaS provider of virtual tours, renderings and 360 solutions and is a Strategic Advisor for Mesh Systems – a leading IoT solutions provider based in Indianapolis. He has won a number of executive leadership awards including “CEO of the Year” in the CEO World Awards, a Bronze winner in the “Executive of the Year” category for the Best in Biz Awards, North America, and a “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
