Responds to changing train operations regulatory requirements and train control technology, by defining new train control system requirements, establishing project scope, devising quality assurance plans and then executing them to confirm system compliance. Also provides Advanced Train Control System (ATCS) business user support in response to train operations or system incidents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advanced Train Control System Business User Support: Supports Train Operations (Dispatchers and Train Crews) to attain maximum utilization of the ATCS Systems (Primarily Computer Aided Dispatch and PTC). This includes developing user training, devising system incident management processes, triaging system issues, coordinating resolution of system problems using internal knowledge management systems or engaging system engineers for complex technical problems.
Quality Assurance & Control: Collaborates with ATCS staff and contract resources to define and ensure compliance with the department's overarching quality assurance processes associated with the life cycle development of ATCS systems. May direct contract resources or System Engineers in executing manual or automated test scripts.
Test Systems and documentation: Documents test system configurations and software/firmware revision levels. Executes test scripts across all ATCS test systems and documents results.

Associate's degree in Math, Computer Science or related field is required. Four years of applicable experience which demonstrates progression to more responsible positions may be substituted for the associate's degree requirement. Must have knowledge of railroad MOW (Maintenance of Way) operations. FACTOR 2: Analytical Skills & Impact

The following briefly describes the main benefits available to regular employees of the Alaska Railroad Corporation. Actual benefits differ by bargaining unit.
Retirement Plans
ARRC Pension Plan - Participation is mandatory. You are automatically enrolled in the Plan when you meet the eligibility requirement of your bargaining unit. Employees contribute 9% of their Earnings on a pre-tax basis. The Railroad is exempt from participation in Social Security; however, Medicare Tax is withheld. Participants vest with 5 years of eligible Vesting Service which entitles one to receive a pension benefit at retirement age.
Tier 2 Description (Employees hired after July 1, 2015)
Normal Retirement Age is age 65, however, the plan allows one to retire as early as age 60. The formula for a monthly Normal Retirement Benefits is 2% x Final Average Earnings x all Credited Service.
Early retirement, survivor and disability benefits are available for vested participants.
401(k) Tax Deferred Savings Plan - Participation is optional. You may enroll once you meet the eligibility requirement of your bargaining unit. Depending on the bargaining unit, there may be an employer match.

Insurance and Flexible Spending Plans

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. Compensation
Salary Pay Range:
BSA/AML Due Diligence Analyst I (Category 13): $49,284 - $73,391 annually
BSA/AML Due Diligence Analyst II (Category 12): $53,226 - $81,405 annually
BSA/AML Due Diligence Analyst III (Category 11): $57,484 - $90,230 annually
Senior BSA/AML Due Diligence Analyst (Category 10): $63,233 - $99,908 annually
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
