As our Quality Assurance & Training Specialist on the Business Insurance team, you'll serve as a consultant, educator, and facilitator focused on agency management systems and workflow development. You'll lead efforts to optimize people, processes, and technology resources to enhance client service, financial performance, and risk management. Your role includes auditing policies and procedures, communicating audit results, developing workflows, coordinating training programs, and maintaining training materials and quality assurance documentation.

Role: The Quality Assurance and Control Lending Specialist is an integral member of ORNL Federal Credit Union's lending quality and control team.⯠This position completes the required and necessary reviews and report reviews across all lines of ORNL FCU Lending: Real Estate, Consumer and Commercial Lending. The Quality Assurance and Control Lending Specialist is member experience-focused, stays abreast of industry trends and opportunities and leverages knowledge to suggest improvements to existing policies, procedures, products and processes to ensure the Credit Union maintains its position as a market leader.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Ensures all loans are regulatory compliant and meet all secondary investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA) ORNL FCU guidelines and any additional federal or state regulations. Performs pre-funding and /or post-closing loan reviews within SLA's. Assesses loan quality, eligibility, and compliance of selected loans. Ensure selected loans meet investor (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA) guidelines. Review credit, asset, collateral and income documentation for red flags. Review credit, asset, collateral and income documentation for accuracy and to validate credit decision.
Ensures timely completion of monthly and quarterly mortgage loan servicing audits. Communicates accurate, concise and constructive exception detail to the line of business. Reviews new servicing loan set up, mortgage insurance premium billing, customer service, fees and charges, escrow administration, and paid-in-full files on a quarterly basis. Evaluates servicing phone calls by manager request to ensure the customer service department maintains requirements when speaking with consumers. Analyzes individual loan files and determines compliance with Federal and State Regulations, as well as, lender and investor guidelines. Validates data integrity of loan in servicing systems. Identifies all red flags within a loan file and ensures they are addressed accordingly. Escalates any evidence of fraud and/or misrepresentation to management.
Provides quality loss mitigation, early payment default, and other delinquent loan servicing reviews. Follows QC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with scopes of work. Reviews credit reports for accuracy regarding delinquent or negative credit reporting information.
Completes monthly consumer loan sampling and quality reviews to ensure regulatory and ORNL FCU lending guidelines and requirements are met by ORNL team members as well as indirect lending partners. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Sr. Quality Control Specialist performs first article, in-process, and final component inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), manual inspection equipment, and visual inspection. They will translate engineering requirements to quality control plans and develop CMM programs as needed. This role will ensure compliance with quality requirements and ensure that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards before they progress to next phase of production or customer delivery.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements.
Prepare quality control plans for components based on engineering specifications.
Develop Coordinate Measuring Machine programs.
Set-up and inspect components using CMM's.
Utilize various manual measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and other hand-held measuring devices.
Utilize vision-based equipment such as optical comparators for measurement of parts or part characteristics.
Inspect in-process products on the shop floor to ensure compliance with Centrus quality standards.
Evaluate inspection results to determine conformance to requirements.
Complete final inspection reports and first article inspection reports.
Upload inspection records to company server.
Document, track, and complete nonconformance reports.
Perform basic weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments. Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate.
Understand basic statistical techniques sufficient for evaluation of measurement data trends.
Conduct Measurement System Analysis
Understand and follow Centrus quality management system procedures.
Train others on inspection techniques and tools when required.
Keep machines and work area clean and organized.
Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
Practice safe working behaviors and adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.
Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.
