QC Lab Technician - Lebanon, PA Hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday thru Friday. The employee is expected to be proficient in the duties of the Quality Control Technician position as they appear below. It is also expected that the employee will have read and understand all Brentwood Industries policies and procedures for their intended position Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Essential Responsibilities: Ensure the safe operation of all equipment during their shift. Know the location of all safety stops. Obtain probed regrind samples from appropriate departments and insure traceability. Know the proper technique of cleaning the lab mil and essential housekeeping duties. Produce a quality lab mil sample from regrind samples and provide these samples for inspection by a qualified quality control lab technician. Communicate all probing and sample preparation in a timely and concise manner. Test roll samples for proper gauge and determine pass/fail results based on pre-determined standards. Report excessively high or low gauge results to the lab lead and/or lab supervisor and also to calender operators. Prepare documentation for testing of roll stock samples. Complete testing of roll stock samples. Cut leaf strips from roll samples and press them into bars for testing. Prepare bars for testing including sanding flash. Conduct impact tests on roll samples and determine pass/fail results based on pre-determined standards. Perform specific gravity on specimens obtained from roll samples collected from the calender lines. Communicate results of all testing in a timely and concise manner. Essential Responsibilities • Adhere to and implement proper fabrication and assembly techniques. • Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings. • Produce a quality product while focusing on TAIT brand quality and standards. • Clean and maintain workspace area, facility tools, and equipment. • Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, internal drawings, and SOP's. • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. • Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required. • Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company.Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED. • One (1) year of instructional/professional training. • Skill set focused in general fabrication, carpentry, complex mechanical assembly and/or TAIT experience preferred. • Ability to identify materials and hardware. • Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints and internal drawings. • Knowledge in rigging equipment and practices (WLL, COG, & LAF) • Advanced knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments and general manufacturing tools (wood, plastic, metal). • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Ability to use (proficient in) TAIT business systems (Epicor, Slack, and Box). • Capacity to work independently, and as a member of a small team. • Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Flexibility with work schedule. Normal work schedule is forty hours per week; however operational demands may necessitate other schedules to meet business needs. Position Summary This position is for a Quality Inspector at our facility located in York, PA. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a hands-on role within the organization and interface with both Operations and Product Development teams while performing incoming inspection of materials and components and performing in-process and final inspections of products for commercial and/or government customers. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Inspect incoming materials * Perform in-process inspections and/or final inspections on manufactured product * Ensure all materials and product meet Quality standards as per policy and ISO9001/AS9100 procedures * Identify and segregate non-conformances and write non-conformance reports * Support Supplier Quality initiatives ACT is an equal opportunity employer.
