Position Summary

Summary:

Alerts the operator of deviations found in the inspection.
Creates and compiles quality records as defined by the Quality Management System and/or by Customer specific requirements.
Records inspection results into the designated location.
Responsible to manage Calibration status of gages in the facility so that all gages will be maintained in-calibration status (with the support of the Calibration Coordinator in San Jose). Informs the calibration coordinator in San-Jose when new gages are purchased.
Trains operators and other personnel with the requirements of the QMS.
Makes sure that the facility is compliant to QMS requirements such as: only controlled documents are printed, reference gages are marked as such, line clearance is done regularly, rejected parts are tagged, segregated, and processed in a timely manner etc.
Undertakes additional responsibilities or activities as required by the Quality Manager Sheet Metal.
Assists the Director of Quality in maintaining of ISO 9001 certifications.

1 year previous Inspection experience.
1 year manufacturing fabrication experience.
Knowledge / Skills
