    Linde Gases US (LGUS) is currently seeking a Production Technician in Camas, WA. The production technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of (1) Cryogenic Air Separation plant, a UHP Oxygen column, and (1) PSA. This position reports to a Production Superintendent and will also work collaboratively with the area Coordinator and technicians. The technician, with minimal supervision, must be able to produce results and has primary responsibility for their assigned plants. Production Technicians must employ safety focused actions, demonstrate initiative and self-motivation. The technician is supported through managerial supervision, lead/area technicians, engineers, sales, and other technical support. The role will facilitate the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment to include but not limited to cryogenic liquid and gas storage vessels, vaporization systems, cylinders, gas purifiers, gas analyzers and sampling cabinets, filtration systems, pipelines, valves of all varieties, pumps, compressors, and instrumentation/control systems. This position requires a combination of office work and field work. Employee must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment via ladders, scaffolding, and aerial work platforms. Working extended hours and/or weekends, holidays and call-ins may be required based on facility activities. Technician also have on-call duties (on a rotating basis). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount to be successful. Attention to detail is a must! Primary Responsibilities: Understand and adhere to company, customer and regulatory work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses and stop unsafe activities immediately. Effectively commission, operate, calibrate/maintain, and troubleshoot gas and cryogenic liquid production systems, gas purification systems, gas analytical systems and gas storage, vaporization, and delivery systems. Perform plant shutdowns and start-ups using approved procedures. Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and rebuild industrial instruments including transmitters, process control systems, meters, and automatic valves. Propose, prepare and execute projects to improve availability and reliability of equipment and systems or reduce cost of ownership and operation. Read and maintain P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with both company and customer SOPs, SMP, COP, QA, and MOC policies. Troubleshoot electrical infrastructure and equipment ( Coordinate scheduling of planned or requested maintenance and procurement of materials. Complete and disposition maintenance and QC records and production reports accurately and on-time. Perform LOTO, complete HWPs, and safely permit maintenance work; organize external resources to support activities and oversee their performance. Maintain security and orderliness. Participate or lead required meetings and activities. Follow lone worker requirements. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to execute, document and continuously improve preventative and corrective maintenance strategy. Collect and interpret trends in equipment and process condition monitoring data. Anticipate or recognize issues based on collected data and resolve or escalate immediately. Maintain spares inventory and raise needs to management or procure as required. Follow all work instructions and annotate with feedback as necessary. Communicates and collaborates with customer, management, and sales on operational issues. Complete all required training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals. Respond tactfully, timely and effectively to customer feedback and requests. Commit to achieving individual and team goals and encourage colleagues to do the same. Qualifications: Qualifications: Associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline or recent military training in a technical field. Military technical fields: Machinist Mates, Electrician Mates, Gas Turbine Technicians, Boiler Technicians. Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial plant operations or maintenance. Climb ladders and perform elevated work. Be able to wear all required personal protective equipment. Lift 45 to 75 lbs. occasionally. Candidate should possess strong working knowledge, literacy and demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office products. Operate a forklift and aerial manlift once qualified by the company. Be on-call and work overtime for plant issues during off hours and weekends.
