    Provide excellent service to customers by providing assistance to the Senior Service Designer, service design staff and Service Manager. Works within NFPA standards to create and draft sprinkler designs. Works to achieve annual company objectives and personal performance goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ability to complete a sprinkler drawing as detailed in most current NFPA standards documentation. Ability to identify the building construction type as identified in most current NFPA standards documentation. Ability to identify types of hazards and the appropriate protection for it. Familiarity with a project budget and ability to work within it. Ability to coordinate work with other trades on non-complex projects. Ability to understand and resolve coordination problems. Ability to effectively design a project; including cutting pipe with all appropriate fittings. Ability to select all required materials for installation. Ability to operate present version of AutoCAD and all current AutoCAD tools. Ability to coordinate pipe drawing, heads, hangers & other sprinkler components critical to design, field or other trade affected (non-complex project). Ability to conduct a field survey alone or with others to obtain all proper dimensions and information. Ability to correctly project hours, installation, field survey results, etc. for a project. Ability to meet industry quality standards in producing drawings, hydraulic calculations, material pick offs and material submittals for a project. Ability to develop a complete material submittal that meets industry standards. Ability to correctly complete project paperwork, such as: test papers, insurance permits, punch list. Ability to identify what is in contract vs. what is not in contract and alert appropriate personnel in writing. Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems before they manifest. Responsible for ordering all materials necessary to complete a project. Communicate in face-to-face meetings with customers in a way that provides the company and the customer with accurate, thorough information about a job, and that leaves the customer with a positive impression of our company and our service. Must have complete knowledge of all applicable fire codes, including NFPA 13. Will be responsible for taking on role as project leader, and must direct other team members in completing project efficiently and accurately. As project leader, responsible for giving regular, complete, and professional status reports information to the Service Manager. Works with other departments to service customers. Works to achieve company's annual objectives and to achieve personal performance goals. Operates at all times in compliance with the company's safety practices. As a Quality Lab Technician & Coupling Inspector, you will ensure accurate calibration and inspection processes that support our production lines and maintain quality standards. Your Day-to-Day Impact Perform inspections on new gauges, couplings, and thread protectors to applicable standards and practices. Coordinate calibrations and minor repairs to all company gauges, hand tools, and related inspection equipment. Enter and coordinate gauge calibration into tracking system, maintain recall program, gauge inventory, and movement records. Monitor controlled conditions of Gauge Labs and Coupling inspection and maintain all records. Conduct Non-Conformance (NCR) investigations, Quality Visits, Risk Assessments, and Internal Audits as needed. Assist during Customer, ISO, and API audits and tours. Perform Threading and Coupling Audits & Risk assessments as required. Perform incoming Coupling and Thread Protector inspections using applicable criteria. Develop and write new or revised calibration and inspection procedures. Maintain safe work environment by following all policies, standards, and procedures. What You Bring We're looking for candidates who are sharp, safety-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Technical degree preferred Experience working in a lab or inspection environment preferred. Excellent mathematical skills. Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. Ability to use measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments. Ability to develop and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures and train others. Organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and calibration software. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull 75 pounds. Valid driver's license and good driving record.
