Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Solar Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical field inspections • Reviews Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Inspection Test Points (ITPs) for their assigned projects and prior to project start.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for completing final inspections prior to shipment, as well as in process inspections to support shop manufacturing. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and documenting findings to maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
This is an hourly position that will report directly to the Quality Inspection Manager.
Position Responsibilities
Study and interpret product specifications to ensure product conformity
Establish inspection plans and part acceptance criteria based on drawing requirements and customer feedback.
Examine manufactured products, primarily aerospace machined parts, to ensure they parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
Identify and communicate existing and potential quality issues
Perform dimensional inspection on machined parts using a variety of precision metrology instruments such as height gages, micrometers, bore gages, etc.
Collect and record data regarding defects
Document and process nonconforming product
Demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask
Identify non-conforming materials and products, document discrepancies, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection and quality control processes.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
Co-lead the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Quality Pillar (QPC).
Promote and adhere to all safety standards in lab and plant environments.
Manage document and data control processes.
Administer the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) program as required.

Conduct annual product testing and manage customer certifications.
Oversee raw material certifications and incoming material data entry.
Coordinate outsourced testing and UL certifications.
Manage collection and shipment of sales samples.
Administer AIMS setup, label databases, and quality document systems (e.g., Qualtrax).
Support other quality projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry (required)
3+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Able to thrive in a global, cross-functional team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality systems
Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and world-class manufacturing tools

The expected compensation range for this role is $80,000.00 -$95,000.00.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

Work Environment
When running the engines, you will be working outdoors with exposure to the elements. This can include, but is not limited to, heat, cold, or rain. A risk of electrical shock is always present. At times there can be hazards from moving equipment (i.e.: forklifts). There can be a lot of ambient noise, and in some cases hearing protection must be worn. Risk of cuts or abrasions is present, especially when dealing with panels, or maneuvering between units for splice plate measurements or mechanical checks.
