Price Electric is hiring in-shop Assemblers to meet its growing demand for quality prefabricated construction. Prefab Assemblers work Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. to safely, accurately, and timely produce electrical assemblies, frames, and products that are used in construction projects across the nation.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Following all safety rules and regulations and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
2. Identifying and using correct material and tooling from detailed parts lists and assembly instructions
3. Using established production processes and performing general electrical prefab tasks such as cutting, threading, bending, and assembling electrical components and subcomponents
4. Moving material with forklift and pallet jack (certification required)
5. Tracking production, quality control, and other information electronically
6. Learning advanced prefabrication skills in alignment with an employee's interests and abilities and department needs
Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the ability to work 40 or more hours per week; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.; continuous standing, walking, bending, and/or twisting; repetitive use of hands for frequent grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine motor coordination; periodic squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead and climbing; repetitive use of feet for operating equipment, conduit benders and vertical climbing; and adequate vision for document reading and color coding to identify wire.
Qualified candidates have proven reliability; effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math; good time management and organization; ability to read and understand job orders and construction drawings with training; and a high school diploma or GED. Experience using impact drills and performing mild steel MIG welds is beneficial.

A Day In The Life * Operator will be required to assemble and/or disassemble parts into subassemblies or finished units, and to receive and stock parts and supplies. Operator will be required to use hand tools, jigs, fixtures, machines, equipment, and other means to produce a good quality product.
* Processes performed will be, but not limited to, assembling, drilling, pressing, testing, fitting, filing, and storing.
* Operator may be required to make visual and manual inspections, check quality, assure alignment, position, tension, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and other operations as required.
* Operator will be required to set-up, operate and adjust machines and equipment as required.
* Operator must have the ability to interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required.
* Operator will be required to furnish own hand tools.
* Operator will be required to maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
* Operator must ensure that any hazardous waste generated must be properly packaged and labeled before removing from his/her area.

Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on printed circuit boards and chassis.
Connect component leads to printed circuit boards or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points using soldering procedures and equipment.
May perform assembly operations under a microscope or another magnifying device.
May be required to work in a Clean Room environment, must be able to adhere to the Clean Room standard operating procedure.
Perform on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

* Monitor and maintain inventory of product in work stations
* Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

Job Description
Work manufacturing stations to build product using shop packets, drawings and standard or verbal instructions. Work alongside other assemblers to train and assist.
Review work orders for special instructions, quantities & part numbers. Review parts provided to ensure that they conform to the job requirements.
Assemble, test and visually inspect products or sub-assemblies including those of Assembler II and Nitrogen Booster Systems, Plan 53B's, standard lubrication systems as well as more complex standard Gas Control Panels.
Ensure assembled parts meet the drawing specifications for dimensions and level tolerances.
Perform assembly support functions - Sandblast, Strip, Dye Penetrant test, Hydrotest and PMI.
Multi-plane tube bending and installation.
Adhere to Material Traceability requirements.
Paint systems as business requires.
Label parts and install nameplates.
Conduct peer reviews of completed assemblies.
Make proper labor and time reports.
Work in a clean and orderly fashion to maintain area standards of 5S.
Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Tube bending experience is required
Ability to read and interpret average assembly drawings, make calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
One year related experience and 2 years of On the Job Training or an equivalent combination
Must be able to learn to operate overhead cranes and forklift.
Must be able to stand for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, or warehouse
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds or utilize team-lift or lifting assistance for items over 35 pounds.
