Communicate with shop inventory person to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. * Lead the pack and unpack of items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. * Help record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. * Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. * Work with the safety department to report, repair and replace broken tools. * Responsible for the safe shipping/loading and receiving/unloading of all items utilizing equipment that are manual, motorized, or other in nature. * Operating forklift for uploading and offloading parts. * Operating the crane and rigging as needed. * Effectively communicating with others and can work both independently and on a team in a dynamic environment. * Completing and perform necessary certification (and recertification if necessary) training to utilize equipment as required to perform job function. * Being responsible for daily/weekly cleaning of the shop and work area. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. You'll sweep us off our feet if you: * Have experience with Lean/Operational Excellence standards and practices (i.e. 5S, Kaizen, etc.) * Have Crane Operator / Rigging experience * Have knowledge of/ experience using inventory management systems * Have knowledge of/experience using financial/accounting system. Requirements What you'll need: * 3 years' experience in managing a team. * Leading and scheduling inventory staff, conduct performance coaching, and assist with hiring and training new employees. * Previous experience in Warehouse Coordination / Inventory control is a plus * Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions. * Lead inventory staff, ensuring compliance with procedures, preparing inventory for shipping, and reporting on stock levels to management. * Identified and resolved discrepancies, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall optimization of the supply chain. * Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds. * Crane Operator / Rigging experience a plus * Forklift operator experience. * Knowledge of security/Safety operations and procedures. * Capable of immediately responding to emergencies to provide necessary assistance. * Effective written and oral communications. * Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with other areas to achieve goals and objectives with minimum direct supervision. * Ability to effectively manage time and complete tasks as needed. * Work with minimum supervision, be a self-starter, be able to meet goals and deadlines on own initiative.? * Strong computer skills and proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point is a plus. * Ability to multitask. * Must maintain a valid state issued driver's license. * Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and to use standard warehouse equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
