Summary Objective
The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads the sourcing and procurement strategy across multiple categories of raw materials, fabricated components, equipment, and services. This role provides strategic direction to the purchasing team, comprising Senior Buyers and procurement professionals, to ensure alignment with business growth objectives, operational excellence, and cost competitiveness. The Senior Procurement Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to anticipate material requirements, strengthen supplier performance, and drive scalable supply chain solutions in support of a rapidly expanding market segment.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership & Supply Chain Alignment
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with corporate growth, production schedules, and cost targets.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Buyers and procurement staff to elevate sourcing effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration.
Translate business objectives into procurement action plans and measurable performance outcomes.
Champion supply chain scalability and continuous improvement initiatives to support the company's expansion into new markets and production capacity.
Market Intelligence & Supplier Strategy
Analyze global market conditions, supplier capabilities, and economic trends to anticipate supply risks and identify opportunities for strategic advantage.
Conduct market analysis reports to support executive decision-making and budgeting.
Build and maintain a high-performing supplier base capable of supporting evolving operational and project demands.
Drive supplier development initiatives, ensuring strong performance in quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
Procurement Operations & Compliance
Oversee all purchasing activities, including requisition review, sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and ISO 9001 requirements.
Establish and maintain procurement procedures, templates, and systems to ensure efficiency and transparency.
Lead resolution of purchase order discrepancies, supplier claims, and performance issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support
Partner with Engineering to confirm technical requirements and ensure supplier adherence to specifications.
Coordinate closely with Manufacturing to maintain material availability, align deliveries with production schedules, and prevent production interruptions.
Support Development and Estimating teams by obtaining competitive pricing and lead-time data for proposal and bid efforts.
Manage procurement flow-downs on project-specific purchases, including extended warranties, liquidated damages, and special terms.
Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
Implement KPIs and performance dashboards to measure cost savings, supplier delivery, and procurement cycle times.
Identify and lead process automation and digitalization opportunities within the procurement function.
Prepare for and support ISO 9001 and other external audits.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent
10 years of procurement related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
Three years working in a Procurement Manager or Lead Procurement role.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree within Business, Finance, or Logistics from an accredited university.
Five years' experience as a Procurement Manager for the purchase, expediting, and delivery of highly engineered, complex, and long lead time procurements critical infrastructure, energy or mission critical facilities.

Within Industrial Applications, the Bulk Supply Chain team is in charge of the ALTO product, the core solution used by Air Liquide Group for the management and the optimisation of the Bulk supply chain. The key features of ALTO are:
ALTO.Forecast: Forecast the customer consumption, based on IoT.
ALTO.Planning: Manage the resources and prepare the distribution planning

The Product experts interface with business and technical stakeholders for requirement gathering, product evolutions and requirement qualification. The Product Expert works in close collaboration within the Product Line, the Regional Unit and other internal Industrial Applications stakeholders.

Engagement Lead → Owns the global relationship, engagement, satisfaction (AMG-DDS), possesses a deep understanding of Industrial Applications solutions and their applicability to Air Liquide/Airgas industrial environments.

Your main missions will be the following :
Contribution to the product development
Responsible for interfacing with the customer for requirement gathering and product evolutions.

Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities
* Execute contracting and procurement strategy/tactics for large-scale capital projects ($250M+), sourcing for high value, complex goods and services. Lead bid evaluation teams to analyze proposals and award business. Coordinate with Category Management to leverage scale for recurring purchase opportunities and value capture.
* Apply expert contract knowledge, diligence, and integration of all contract components to ensure efficient project delivery management. Lead the development, refinement, and application of the project delivery contracting strategy for assigned projects. Ensure invoices have proper supporting documentation and payment is not in excess of materials delivered or value of work completed. Manage contractor training and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
* Lead complex negotiations with a team on contracts representing company interests in purchases associated with large-scale capital projects. Analyze, verify, and negotiate modifications, changes, or additional work orders that were not part of the original contract or purchase scope. Independently resolve complex disputes and contract adjustments with critical suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Create and manage project plans for sourcing goods and services. Integrate sourcing and business project plans to develop enterprise-wide standardization of technology and equipment specifications. Deepen relationships with stakeholders and communicate sourcing project status to senior leadership. Execute post award contract management plans, including KPI development. Review with suppliers that contractor commitments and progress milestones are tracked in accordance with contractual terms & conditions and full project value is achieved.
* Lead post award contract management plans. Manage supplier performance to ensure commitments and progress milestones are met. Collaborate with Category Managers to support project needs in alignment with category strategies. Manage critical supplier relationships.
* Develop and lead capital project risk management strategies. Apply expert contract law knowledge to administer project contract agreements and contractual forms. Manage contract risk and assemble documentation to obtain project specific insurance. Limit company liability by ensuring proper documentation.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA and Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) or other supply chain certification strongly preferred.
* Requires eight years of purchasing or sourcing experience, including construction project contract experience.
* Expert contract knowledge, including regulatory and tax implications.
* Expert negotiation and project management skills required.
* Requires advanced expertise in sourcing and supply chain management principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems is required.
* Must be results-oriented and customer focused. Strong interpersonal, relationship, and presentation skills are required.
* Up to 20% travel; driver's license required.

The Role
Responsible for purchasing a variety of complex or technical materials, supplies or services. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery. May provide work leadership for lower level employees. Excludes those with full supervisory responsibilities.

Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and manage program risks and mitigation plans to ensure product readiness for initial NPI builds as well as enabling long-term supply continuity into production, including changes to product and schedule needs.
