Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.

Supervise and support Certified Nursing Aides (CNAs) and other staff
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations applicable to long term care industry.
Must be a graduate in good standing from an accredited nursing program; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed RN.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.

What you will do:

Essential Functions
- Accountable for and coordinates the delivery of care within the practice setting and across health care settings to maintain continuity of care to create a compassionate therapeutic environment through the assessment of the physical, functional and psychosocial well-being of the patient and family.

- Through various telehealth practices provides effective management and coordination of care and services to include telephone triage and other telecommunications technologies to remove time and distance barriers for the delivery of nursing care.

Midtown Clinic is a 22-exam room facility located in the heart of Milwaukee's inner city, serving a diverse and underserved patient population. Position Summary
The Midtown RN plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care through triage, emergent response, and direct patient support. This position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a passion for serving vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
Triage
Respond to calls within 4 hours; high-priority calls within 1 hour
Complete RX requests and MyChart messages within 2 business days
Make at least 2 call attempts per encounter before closure
Ensure all calls received before 3:30 PM are addressed same day
Emergent Care
Manage Epic Secure Chat and Triage 4 Pediatrics (T4P) daily
Respond promptly to in-clinic and lobby emergencies
Floor Support
Assist with vaccine and medication preparation
Room same-day and urgent visits
Provide patient education (MDI, nebulizer, EpiPen), suctioning, and straight caths
Round with providers and MAs at 5:00 PM
Support lab draws and monitor workroom needs
Clinic Operations
Record fridge temperatures daily
Verify POCT lot numbers weekly
Check emergency box daily and complete monthly inventory
Pre-chart nurse schedules 2 days in advance and monitor daily add-ons
Qualifications
Active RN license in the State of Wisconsin
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Transport RN Description:
The NICU Transport Nurse provides patient care in a mobile environment to high risk patients and their families being transported to/from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley. The NICU Transport Nurse acts as a resource hospital wide for patient care standards and pre-code recognition. As a recognized resource, the job assists in establishing and maintaining a high quality standard of care for the neonatal and pediatric transport population under the age of two months.

Current Wisconsin State License (Compact License) as a RegisteredNurse and must pass pre-placement physical exam and meet health requirements for flying. Transport team must meet height requirements of not greater than 6ft 2in., not less than 4 ft 10 in and maintain weight less than 215 pounds.
