The Finishing Window Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed carton windowing equipment used in the finishing department. Load paperboard blanks and window film rolls, aligning them to meet job requirements. Calibrate glue application systems and placement guides to ensure accuracy. Perform quality checks during runs to verify registration, glue adhesion, and film placement. Production & Quality Run jobs at target speeds while maintaining quality standards. Inspect product for defects such as misaligned windows, glue overflow, scratches, or wrinkles in film. Complete all production and quality documentation, recording counts, downtime, and waste. Collaborate with quality control and finishing teams to resolve issues quickly. Maintenance & Safety Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement. Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical or electrical issues to keep production moving. Follow all plant safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and housekeeping. Teamwork & Communication Work with feeders, packers, and helpers to maximize machine efficiency. Communicate with supervisors about production status, material needs, and mechanical issues. Support training of apprentices or new team members when needed. About You: You're a fit for the role of Finishing Window Machine Operator, if your background includes: Experience operating finishing/packaging machinery, preferably in folding cartons or printing/packaging. Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform setups, adjustments, and light maintenance. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, load and scan all batches Load parts in autoclaves baskets using specific orientation per the PEI. Load and unload baskets in autoclaves using crane and torque wrench. Start, Drain and stop autoclave vessels. React per SOP to alarm conditions and contact necessary personnel based on specific alarms. Place autoclave baskets in holding tank for Washout personnel. Assist Washout with timely turnaround. Verification of parts to paperwork. Must wear required PPE at all times. Autoclave traceability maintained through paperwork verification. Record information in Lot Control. Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervision.
