The DesignEngineer - Civil/Site is a mid-level position with 2-4 years of experience. This individual will provide engineering services on all phases of an assigned project under the supervision of the Project Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Perform and/or oversee civil/site design for a variety of projects including parks, municipal infrastructure, athletic facilities, schools/colleges/universities, industrial and commercial developments.
Prepare NJDEP Department of Land Use Regulation permit applications as required by project scope.
Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling as required for land development, roadway and culvert/bridge projects.
Responsible for scope, schedule and budget adherence to assigned tasks.
Operate under limited supervision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of software including, but not limited to Word Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3d computer aided design software
Proficient in Bentley/ MicroStation design software
Proficient in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software, including Bentley PondPack, StormCAD, FlowMaster and USACOE HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software

* Installation/Start-up Phase:
* Create and/or oversee the creation of program site databases, graphics, and associated programming.
* Participate in project turnover to project manager after controls submittal finalization.
* Provide technical assistance to Installation Team on assigned projects as required.
* Assist in scheduling, organizing, and dispatching Controls Technicians on assigned projects.
* Provide direction for the configuration, setup, and calibration of factory or field installed end while also ensuring proper completion of quality control documentation.
* Act as primary technical resource and mentor for all field personnel through the duration of assigned projects analyzing and diagnosing BAS and system issues should they arise.
* Closeout Phase:

* Ensure project database and graphics database are backed up to network drive at job completion.
* Provide remote access information for sites to Virtual Service.
* Represent company by serving as a direct customer contact, working to develop, maintain, and enhance customer relationships.
* Provide on-site Owner Training Classes for customers.
* General:
* Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values
* Seeks out training and mentoring opportunities for other controls projects associates.
* Participate in Field Technician recruitment.
* Travel 10% of the time is required.
* Must be able to work overtime/weekends as required.
