    Established forward thinking Engineering firm located in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking an engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC/mechanical system design as well as plumbing and fire protection systems design for educational, commercial and industrial facilities to expand its Cherry Hill, NJ office. PRIMARY DUTIES: Design of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and education facilities Hydronic system (chilled and hot water) piping design as well as ductwork and mechanical equipment sizing is also required. Understands construction plan documentation including architectural, structural and MEP systems Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and details KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate the ability to take projects from inception to completion Detail Oriented Skilled in design and calculation software, AutoCAD competency a plus Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from project manager and produce the expected results. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS in Mechanical engineering or equivalent degree/experience required CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED Professional Engineering licensure preferred. We are seeking a mechanical, civil or electrical engineer to join Stantec's fast paced and nationally recognized Fuel System Engineering Team as a Fuel System Engineer - Designer. The Team specializes in the design of fuel infrastructure projects ranging from fleet, aviation, EV charging, and alternative fuel systems. This position will be responsible for working primarily with the Team in the Portland, ME, Auburn, NH or Kansas City, MO offices working on a wide range of fuel system designs. Working on diverse projects with multiple engineering disciplines, including structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering will be required on a project by project basis.     The Project Engineer is a professional with 8-15 years of experience. This individual will design and/or manage a variety of infrastructure projects (owned by municipalities and local school districts) and will report directly to the Office Manager. Such projects shall include roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and land use applications submitted by private developers. This candidate will work in the Lakewood, NJ office and its surrounding areas. PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible to act as the client manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies. The client manager will act as the single point of contact between the firm and the client. He/she will supervise and coordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client, to the client's satisfaction. Detailed knowledge of the municipal land use law requirements, municipal development reviews, performance and maintenance bond requirements, and compliance review associated with planning board approved developments. Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure. Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools. Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data. Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact. Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects. Attending regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipal clients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use Board Engineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and developmental review projects. Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications. Support of the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Municipal Engineering experience preferred but not required. Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to make public presentations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of computer aided design software. Ability to work in groups as well as individually. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED PE Licensure Required PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
