The Water/ Wastewater Senior EngineeringTechnician is a professional with a 2 to 5 years of experience with EIT certificate (preferred). This individual will plan, design and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as water main; sanitary main; pumping stations; and water & wastewater treatment facilities. The EngineeringTechnician shall be self-motivated, with good writing skills and capable of working in a team environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.
Work on a team to produce correspondence/reports/biddable documents for water distribution systems; wastewater conveyance system; treatment plants; potable wells; water storage tanks; and water & sanitary pumping stations.
Engineering support to our inspection department.
Capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets.

Work on a team to produce regulatory permitting applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

While performing the duties of a Construction Observer, the employee typically works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Computer/technology is required to document and report work performed. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Engineering Lead drives Information Technologies (IT) security and productivity pillars by enabling secure connectivity for technical assets and devices within EY's global infrastructure through the creation and management of digital certificates. The Engineering Lead will oversee a team of engineering resources and manage all activities to be delivered by this team. Your key responsibilities
Primary point of contact for the strategy and best practices in engineering, design execution and aligned management of all complex build activities for specific new or modifications to existing features and functions within the DCT services space.
Manage the successful technical delivery of projects and services for our customers by working directly with key business stakeholders, executives and project teams. Security engineers are the technical lead on initiatives and as such must drive the vision and alignment of the solution delivery.
Directs engineering and other technical activities supporting the scalability, supportability, production design, validation testing, release packaging, and release planning to maintain service stability and continuity.
Act as a product owner for deployed services to manage the vendor technologies and underlying infrastructure components including development and maintenance of product roadmaps aligned with each service offering.
Support the definition, design, and deployment of enterprise PKI systems to provide new or enhanced services for the business.
Maintain existing deployed service components including upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.

As an Engineering Construction Materials Field Technician, your exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
Work independently in the field and on construction sites performing quality control testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials.
Complete and submit daily reports related to observations and testing activities.
Promptly communicate with site supervisors and project managers of issues or deviations from plans and specifications
Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures.
Work directly on site with our clients
Attend job site meetings as needed.
May occasionally perform lab testing in our offices.

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is candidates for our Construction EngineeringTechnician roles in our Raleigh, North Carolina office. Field and laboratory engineeringtechnicians will work closely with our laboratory manager and professional engineers to ensure buildings in the Triad are constructed safely. In-house training and statewide to national level certification will be provided and readily available.
This is a full-time position - Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Hourly rate depends on local market and results of candidate interview. Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked over 40 hours in one week.
Some of the daily responsibilities you will be trained to do are as follows:
Become trained and certified to perform field testing including temperature, slump, air and unit weight and strength testing for concrete, grout and mortar to ensure building materials meet the required specifications for construction.
Become trained in a variety of American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards for soils, concrete, mortar, grout, and fireproofing depending on the needs of each project.
Manage, sort, and test concrete and other construction material specimens delivered to our laboratory. You'll be trained in the testing specifications and laboratory processing procedures for each test by the laboratory manager.
Operate in our engineering laboratory to prepare specimens for testing compressive strength testing for construction materials including concrete, grout, mortar and masonry.
Manage equipment maintenance and calibrations of laboratory and field equipment to ensure accuracy of testing results.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Own reliable transportation, valid driver's license; satisfactory driving record. You will drive to the project sites every day in your own vehicle (we reimburse you for mileage/tolls)
Must have steel-toe or composite-toe boots
Willingness to learn, a desire to grow in the engineering and testing industry, and a ethic of honesty and reliability
Ability to safely use power tools and specialized equipment
Physical capability to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
Some weekend hours will be required to meet project needs
An understanding of basic math and science
