Job Summary
The Helpdesk Technician serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical support and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service for company-supported computer applications and platforms. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing guidance on appropriate solutions, and ensuring timely follow-up. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to employees in person, by phone, or email, ensuring timely and effective resolution of hardware, software, and mobile device issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 0 to 2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of data center and POP infrastructure, including experience or deep understanding of OSP, ISP, interfacility cabling, fiber and copper distribution, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
Familiarity with installing and maintaining a wide variety of telecom/network equipment, including DWDMs, backbone and management routers, IP switches, as well as all optical and digital infrastructure.
Understanding of splicing, and an understanding of how to maintain and operate within a manhole, vault, or handhole environment.
