The Fleet MaintenanceManager is responsible for the management of fleet equipment at one or more locations and managing a team(s) of technicians who are responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of a fleet of up to 60 vehicles (diesel and alternative fuel)., Additional responsibilities could include maintenance of equipment and machinery at a post collection facility(ies), and management of a container shop(s). The Fleet MaintenanceManager is responsible for providing direction, either directly or indirectly, to a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance to Republic Services' equipment, including trucks, containers and other heavy duty equipment, are performed in compliance with the Company's safety and maintenance standards, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations. The Fleet MaintenanceManager is responsible for planning and scheduling the repair work for his or her work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity within the shop.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide direction to all technician levels, as well as the lead technicians, in the maintenance shop and may manage a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in a satellite maintenance shop or on another shift, assigned to his or her work group to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed is a safe, efficient and timely manner. Oversee the planning and scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity, while effectively managing the department's overtime. Monitor the shop's operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect activities as appropriate. Report to management on shop performance, and implement procedures for process or programmatic changes for improvement for efficiencies.
* Manage lead technicians and maintenance supervisor(s) in the maintenance shop, to include such responsibilities as overseeing daily shop huddles; fleet walks; coaching and counseling lead technician and maintenance supervisor(s) on performance and corrective action, when necessary; make hiring and termination decisions, in concert with Human Resources and appropriate management; oversee employee training and performance evaluation; evaluate, recommend and approve supervisor recommendations for merit increase, promotion and job change recommendations, as appropriate.
* Maintain an on-going preventive maintenance program for assigned locations. Identify trends in road calls, break downs; oversee maintenance of the building and other facility on site; control maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory control and outsourcing of repairs.
* Manage outside repair facilities and repairs to ensure all work is properly completed in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations; follow up where appropriate. Identify training opportunities and, as necessary, document issues and constructively discusses corrective action, as needed, with maintenance supervisor.
* Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues and issue resolution to ensure all works is properly completed and is in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations.
* Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to manage advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions of heavy equipment and vehicles used by the company, on site and on the road, including:
o Engine chassis repair and maintenance;
o Knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to manage the maintenance and repair the vehicles in a timely and safe manner;
o Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to manage diagnosis and repair of complex heating and cooling systems in the vehicles in a timely and safe manner; and
o Knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible.
o Manage related administrative matters for the team, including payroll, maintain employee records, maintain records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, ensure the appropriate recording of all information into Dossier Maintenance Software, prepare and submit the budget for approval, set departmental goals to align with the targets and performance objectives established by the division's leadership team.
o May require local travel.

* High school diploma or G.E.D.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the transportation industry which requires a thorough knowledge and application of safe working practices including OSHA Haz Com, OSHA Lock Out Tag Out, OSHA Fire Safety and other federal and state regulations.
Pay Range:
$86,240.00 - $129,360.00

Position Responsibilities:
This is a 1st and 2nd shift position.
Split time equally between 1st and 2nd shift. 26 weeks on each respective shift opposite of their co- supervisor.

Description
Effectively leads, manages and supervises individuals and groups to ensure the timely, effective and efficient preventative and repair maintenance of combined cycle power facilities and peaking facilities, systems and equipment through sound direction, goal setting, planning and organization and application of best practice management techniques and practices.
Essential Functions
Directly supervises Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Technicians and Procurement/Inventory Control Technician to assure that the plant is maintained in an environmentally compliant, safe, and efficient manner. Periodically reviews performance against expected procedural compliance to insure proper procedures are followed. Review and approve plant maintenance and purchasing/inventory procedures
Provides a safe and productive work environment for team members congruent with Seminole's desired culture and in full support of Seminole's purpose, core values, core competencies and organizational goals.
Participates directly with the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating materials) team and leads the MRO team for the site.
Monitors and approves all change requests for warehouse inventory.
Works with Shift Supervisors and Senior Maintenance Planner to forecast workload and detail plan up to three years in advance. More generalized 5, 10 and 20 year planning is undertaken.
With the OEM, monitor, implement, and enforce LTSA agreements, up to and including participation in outage preparatory meetings, establishment of work scope, scheduling of outages, outage supervision and evaluation of OEM performance.
Implement, maintain and enforce the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) program for all contractor work performed on site.
Act as SECI representative in direct negotiations with contractors and vendors.
Travel to offsite locations and act as SECI's technical expert with concern to MGS equipment inspection, teardown and repair.
Collaborates with different divisions within SECI, acting as a system expert to assist in evaluation of possible future power equipment purchases.
Budget:
Develop and deliver maintenance budget including, but not limited to straight time and overtime hourly labor, outside services, supplies (lubricants, etc.) and repair parts. Present O&M budget to the Director of Plant Operations for approval. Reviews the work accomplished and the expenditures compared to the work plan and budget to determine level of performance, and takes corrective action as necessary throughout the year.
Develops a long-term Plant maintenance plan with an emphasis on efficiency, cost control, asset preservation and plant improvement while transitioning to a “condition-based maintenance” program
With the Director of Plant Operations, the Operations Manager, Dispatch and Plant Engineers, plan and schedule short and long-term equipment operations & maintenance activities to maintain availability, prevent forced outages and support plant goals.
Works with Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Planner to develop and implement outage scope, schedules and budget. Respond to forced outages when necessary.
Evaluates, approves and administers training programs for maintenance technicians as provided by the plant.
Effectively manage bargaining unit employees to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the applicable labor agreements.
Helps to ensure that the morale and motivation of plant personnel is maintained at a high level at all times with a push toward promoting employee ownership and buy-in.
Makes recommendations to hire, fire, discipline, promote or demote employees.
Assigns work and holds employees accountable for their performance
Identify engineering resources, vendors, contractors and power companies with whom to network, collaborate and leverage as resources for the plant.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree or equivalent training and/or experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree based on two (2) years of experience for one (1) year of education. Ten (10) years' experience in operations and maintenance of a power plant with a history showing a continuing increase of responsibility during that time. Combustion Turbine based power generation equipment maintenance experience is preferable. Experience with management of bargaining unit employees and OEM LTSA (long term service agreements) preferred.

The Fleet MaintenanceManager is responsible for planning and scheduling the repair work for his or her work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity within the shop.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide direction to all technician levels, as well as the lead technicians, in the maintenance shop and may manage a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in a satellite maintenance shop or on another shift, assigned to his or her work group to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed is a safe, efficient and timely manner. Oversee the planning and scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity, while effectively managing the department's overtime. Monitor the shop's operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect activities as appropriate. Report to management on shop performance, and implement procedures for process or programmatic changes for improvement for efficiencies.
+ Manage lead technicians and maintenance supervisor(s) in the maintenance shop, to include such responsibilities as overseeing daily shop huddles; fleet walks; coaching and counseling lead technician and maintenance supervisor(s) on performance and corrective action, when necessary; make hiring and termination decisions, in concert with Human Resources and appropriate management; oversee employee training and performance evaluation; evaluate, recommend and approve supervisor recommendations for merit increase, promotion and job change recommendations, as appropriate.
+ Maintain an on-going preventive maintenance program for assigned locations. Identify trends in road calls, break downs; oversee maintenance of the building and other facility on site; control maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory control and outsourcing of repairs.
+ Manage outside repair facilities and repairs to ensure all work is properly completed in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations; follow up where appropriate. Identify training opportunities and, as necessary, document issues and constructively discusses corrective action, as needed, with maintenance supervisor.
+ Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues and issue resolution to ensure all works is properly completed and is in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance procedures, and federal and state regulations.
+ Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to manage advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions of heavy equipment and vehicles used by the company, on site and on the road, including:o Engine chassis repair and maintenance;o Knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to manage the maintenance and repair the vehicles in a timely and safe manner;o Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to manage diagnosis and repair of complex heating and cooling systems in the vehicles in a timely and safe manner; ando Knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible.o Manage related administrative matters for the team, including payroll, maintain employee records, maintain records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, ensure the appropriate recording of all information into Dossier Maintenance Software, prepare and submit the budget for approval, set departmental goals to align with the targets and performance objectives established by the division's leadership team.o May require local travel.

+ High school diploma or G.E.D.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the transportation industry which requires a thorough knowledge and application of safe working practices including OSHA Haz Com, OSHA Lock Out Tag Out, OSHA Fire Safety and other federal and state regulations.
**Pay Range:**
$86,240.00 - $129,360.00
