Provide intake assessments, group therapy, and coordinate referrals to appropriate services as recommended. Provide individual and group therapy in a community-based outpatient clinic. The Clinician is expected to manage the caseload assigned, including all documentation, in a timely manner, and to attend team meetings and clinical supervisions.

Provides clinical services to persons enrolled in the outpatient program.

Completes treatment plan reviews that include updates on client progress at least every ninety (90) days and discharge summaries whenever a case is closed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Maintains an active License with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a SocialWorker in the State of California and eligibility to serve as a field placement instructor and provide supervision of social work interns participating in the student training program. JOB PURPOSE:
The Training SocialWorker supports the mission of the Child & Family Center by supporting the practicum and internship programs in conjunction with other managers and supervisors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
TRAINING PROGRAM:
Provides supervision to training program students, including social work trainees, as deemed appropriate and within supervision requirements to comply with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and Board of Psychology (BOP).
Serves as a field placement instructor responsible for supervision of MSW student/intern(s) participating in C&FC's student training program.
Work with each MSW trainee to develop a Learning Agreement that takes into account the educational assessment of the student, the education goals, core or advanced competencies, and the related practice behaviors of the student's School of Social Work. This serves as a guide for ongoing supervision, identifying learning opportunities, and for final evaluation.

CLINICAL SERVICES:
Manage all information containing sensitive/confidential content with utmost discretion and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality for all sensitive matters.
Meet position requirements regarding client service hours, both billable (for reimbursable services) and non-billable. Direct billable service time expectation is 13 hours per week.
Complete documentation and assignments within program timelines and Agency service standards.
Conduct strength-based, culturally competent therapeutic services, consisting of individual, family and/or group therapy as well as individualized intakes and/or other assessments.
Schedule clients according to client need and availability; Be available for evening appointments if clinically indicated. Provide services in the office or in the field, consistent with contractual, programmatic, and funding source requirements.
Assess and monitor client and/or family progress; evaluate outcomes and collaborate to adjust course of treatment as appropriate.
Interact well with internal programs, clinical/support staff, and external sources such as school or community personnel as applicable.

Expends Specific Assistance monies by use of an agency credit card and checkbook.
Attends Families First of Michigan trainings and other agency trainings as required.
Provides 24/7 emergency availability for the 2 client families on this specialist's own caseload.
May occasionally works some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends).
Transports clients as needed.
Teaches families parenting skills, coping skills, and skills for living.
Collaborates with DHS referring workers and foster care workers.
Functions as part of a Families First team in weekly meetings and other activities.
