Responsibilities
As a Home Health SpeechLanguagePathologist, You will:
* Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
* Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
* Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
* Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
* Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy
Qualifications
* Minimum of Master's Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from a college or university with accredited SpeechLanguage Pathology program
* A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a SpeechLanguagePathologist
* Current, unrestricted license as an SpeechLanguagePathologist by state in which practicing
* Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations

Monitor and revise treatment plans as needed and communicate with all team members involved to ensure the effectiveness of services provided.
Plan, implement, and adapt speech-language therapy activities.
Work collaboratively with other members of the students treatment team and family to design and implement appropriate services.
Develop and implement IEP goals individualized to the student.
Administer appropriate testing to gather data for the development and/or revision of the treatment plan.
Provide reports and make recommendations regarding future needs of students.
Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.

We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders. Our multidisciplinary teams collaborate with families, school districts and community partners to empower children in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.
BHA is seeking a part-time, qualified Licensed SpeechLanguagePathologist to provide speech-language therapy services to students as indicated in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team throughout the year, including summer ESY services. Our SLP will be responsible for providing services to school-aged students at all our Carbon County locations, located within Lehighton, PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Plan and conduct assessments, as well as record and interpret data.
Develop individualized treatment plan aiming to promote communication skills, including expressive language, the ability of verbal expression, receptive language, and augmentative communication.
Monitor and revise treatment plans as needed and communicate with all team members involved to ensure the effectiveness of services provided.
Plan, implement, and adapt speech-language therapy activities.
Work collaboratively with other members of the student's treatment team and family to design and implement appropriate services.
Develop and implement IEP goals individualized to the student.
Administer appropriate testing to gather data for the development and/or revision of the treatment plan.
Provide reports and make recommendations regarding future needs of students.
Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.
Demonstrate knowledge of student's privileges and responsibilities in the behavior program.
Maintain speech-language therapy supplies and order supplies as needed and requested by families/teachers.
