Reality Labs Silicon team is driving the state of the art forward with highly integrated SoCs that leverage breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR & MR devices that blend our real and virtual worlds throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistors, through architecture, firmware, and algorithms.We are seeking research interns with a background in Performance Modeling, Performance Simulation Methodologies, and Computer Architecture to improve our performance modeling collateral and use those models to guide the architecture of AR/MR silicon.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year. **Required Skills:** Research Scientist Intern, Silicon Performance Architecture (PhD) Responsibilities: 1. Build APIs and/or custom wrappers to integrate various perf modeling components, develop test suites to formally verify the functionality and performance of the integrated models 2. Identify areas of optimization to increase the speed of simulation infrastructure either through code refactoring or code restructuring 3. Conduct performance & power explorations of various architectural components using built performance models (including blocks such as NoC, DRAM, MMUs, etc) **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 4. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field 5. Experience with programming in C/C++ and Python (scripting) 6. As a Program Research Associate, known internally as a Curator, you'll play a vital role in powering the Findhelp SaaS platform by ensuring the social services listed are accurate, up-to-date, and meet our high standards for inclusion. Your day-to-day work will directly impact people seeking help across the country. You'll verify existing program data, research and add new resources, and respond to user requests, often digging into websites, making calls, and writing emails to gather essential information. Research and add new organizations and programs that qualify to be added to the network, including but not limited to researching the internet and calling/emailing organizations for more information. Respond to external requests received in our ticket management system and play an integral role in troubleshooting platform requests. Work efficiently within all Curation systems and tools. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive culture. Qualifications: Skilled in attention to detail with an ability to efficiently prioritize tasks. Able to successfully navigate change. Adept at learning new skills. Stays curious and is willing to ask the difficult questions to get the right answers.
