In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Professional and Scientific Positions.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

UWM's Summer Research Associate reports to the 211 Research Manager and plays a pivotal role in the organization's research efforts. Their primary focus is to look at poverty in the metro area, specifically households with at least one household member working that are still struggling to afford basic necessities. The Research Associate will provide nonprofit leaders, funders, and stakeholders with actionable insights to understand the landscape of poverty within the metro and better serve the community. Drawing on publicly available datasets, other literary analysis on the subject and data partnerships with other community partners, the Research Associate will conduct descriptive and advanced statistical analyses to illuminate challenges households in poverty in the metro face. Restaurant cashiers play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by providing efficient and friendly service in a fast-paced environment. You would be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, accurately processing payments, and ensuring high-quality food service. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!
**Job Functions** :
+ General customer service duties including, but not limited to, taking customer food orders, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs.
+ Balancing a cash register and offering additional sales opportunities to customers.
+ Accurately and safely prepare customer orders from various preparation points within the kitchen to include, but not limited to, a sandwich making line, a fry station, a grill station, or other station depending on the restaurant concept type.
+ Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure proper food safety conditions within the restaurant to ensure delivery of a fresh and safe product to the customer.
+ Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
+ Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
