About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated full-time Research Associate to join our whole organ preservation team. As Research Associate, you will play a vital role in the scientific progress of our research program. The primary focus of this role is on developing organ perfusion protocols, with an emphasis on organ isolation, preservation, and viability evaluation. The person in this role is encouraged to take on significant ownership of specific technical challenges.

Job Description
This position offers a great opportunity to participate in very exciting research on neural development and neurodegeneration, which will lead to publications in the near future. Responsibilities include assisting investigators with experiments, performing research independently and participating day-to-day laboratory management, including managing mouse colonies, ordering lab supplies, and writing animal protocols. Previous lab experience in molecular biology (DNA, RNA, PCR and Western) and R programing is required. Mouse work experience is strongly preferred. We offer great opportunities to learn new techniques in next generation sequencing, stem cell biology, and mitochondrial metabolism. Participate in ongoing training on equipment and process operations to support effective job task performance
