Duties

The expected hiring range for a Consulting Research Associate I is $62,100.00 - $82,800.00 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range for this role is
$57,000.00 to $95,000.00.
The expected hiring range for a Consulting Research Associate II is $75,700.00 - $102,350.00 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range for this role is $71,000.00 to $116,000.00.

Curriculum
Nine (9) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Over 1500 hours of clinical training
Over 150 hours of didactics to include over an introductory bootcamp followed by monthly activities that include meetings, case presentations, procedure lab or simulation.
Over 250 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.
Expected commitment of 50 hours per week of the above activities
Phased Training with increasing levels of expected competency and confidence.

The Interactions of SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Genetic Variation on the Risk of Cognitive Decline and Alzheimer's Disease in Ancestral and Admixed Populations (ISAVRAD) Study and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Study Assistant to participate in clinical research at University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake Campus. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigators and Research Coordinator, this position assists in the recruitment and data collection for National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded research investigating the long-term health effects of COVID-19 in American Indian and Native Alaskan (AI/AN) elders.
The Research Study Assistant will operate under supervision and perform participant outreach, eligibility screening, and recruitment. This position will also conduct data collection and entry tracking activities using primarily REDCap and Microsoft Excel.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**_Research Duties - 65%_**
+ Review databases for potentially eligible participants
+ Conduct email, phone, and occasional in-person community outreach
+ Screen subjects for participation using a REDCap database
+ Inform participants about the study using study-approved participant materials
+ Work with participants from marginalized background to ensure their needs are documented and met before appointments
+ Review and explain consent forms with participants
+ Obtain informed consent from participants via a REDCap e-consent platform
+ Attend in-person events and represent the study team while interacting with the community and attendees
+ Conduct basic research assessments as needed
**_Data Collection, Entry, and Management - 35%_**
+ Record outcomes in tracking sheets and REDCap
+ Assist in recording sensitive health data in multiple REDCap databases
+ Ensure accuracy of entered and existing records
+ Perform basic data analysis and summarize results as needed
+ Maintain confidentiality of participant records
+ Collaborate with Research Coordinator and Principal Investigators and assist with other duties as needed
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
+ Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience.
_Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration._
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, multi-task, and to be well organized, with thorough attention to detail
+ Working knowledge of Word, Excel, e-mail, Outlook calendar, internet/intranet, Zoom, and other similar computer applications
+ Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Ability to develop and maintain credible working relationships with research participants, clinical staff, and administrative staff
+ Ability to work with a diverse group of people; ability to work independently with occasional oversight; ability to trouble-shoot and solve problems
+ Experience using REDCap for data collection and e-consenting
+ Past research or clinical experience working with AI/AN populations
+ Cultural and historical knowledge of AI/AN tribal nations and people living in the Greater Seattle area. Lived experience is a plus.
+ Experience conducting research screenings or recruiting research participants

Essential Responsibilities:
Research Administrative Support: a) Performs specialized coding, documentation, and other accounting functions for processing of grant expenses and expense reimbursements according to federal regulations and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington policies. b) Coordinates schedules, manages calendars, and arranges appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries in compliance with federal regulations. c) Tracks financial information. d) Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates files, records, certificates, and/or other documents to meet internal and external audit requirements. e) Researches and orders office supplies. f) Operates a variety of office equipment.
Scientific Support: a) Assists faculty with meeting funding agency requirements for grant submissions. Completes grant application forms. Reviews grant applications for accuracy. Formats manuscripts to meet journal requirements. Create figures and tables using research project data. Creates research project documents according to grant and IRB guidelines. b) Utilizes computer software programs (EndNote, Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Office, etc.) on a daily basis.
Communication, Process Improvement: a) May participate in institute wide committees and workgroups and administrative responsibilities (e.g. SharePoint site, Seminar support) b) Actively participates in RSS unit (attend and actively engage in unit meetings) c) Establishes a self-management system to meet deadlines and accuracy expectations for documents and emails. d) Creates desk manual to document work processes particular to the position to ease transitions in staffing and out of office coverage. Documents policies and procedures for own learnings.
Training, Oversight, Mentoring: a) May provide training and orientation to newly hired Research Support Specialists.
