The Laboratory Research Technician will provide general support to ongoing research in the Tasker laboratory, including animal husbandry and genotyping/phenotyping, ordering, purchasing, lab upkeep, oversight of undergraduate students, etc. * Strong organizational and management skills * Standard laboratory techniques and molecular cloning techniques * Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and PowerPoint software * Bachelor's Degree and one to two years of directly related experience. * College level coursework in cell, molecular, and/or neuro biology * Experience with animal dissection and histological preparations * Experience with mouse breeding and genotyping * Experience with immunohistochemistry and Western blotting * Experience with confocal microscopy * Experience with PCR and qPCR * Experience with molecular biology * Experience with cell cultures
